Pick your poison! On the left is some of Akemi’s homemade limoncello (recipe here) which was a two month process and certainly worth it. I say that, of course, because I didn’t peel any lemon skins, soak them in alcool for 45 days making sure to give them a daily shake, strain the liquid, mix it with simmered and cooled milk, cream, vanilla and sugar, and let it sit in the freezer for two weeks. I did pour myself a small glass and drink it though! Amongst the clear spirits however, the surprising favorite was the George Dickel Tabasco Barrel Finish whiskey. I picked up as a novelty addition to the collection but it wound up being surprisingly delicious. All three tasters agreed!

And I believe Arthur C. Clarke, back in his time, predicted remote work, instantaneous communication technology, and the fax.
Spooky, no? https://t.co/AmMUlcjX7v

Today’s Yes/No…
Sour Patch Kids Popcorn? Yes/Nohttps://t.co/nAk6FphzjL

Two of the worst things I can imagine eating.
Sour Patch Kids popcorn? I can’t even imagine what a combination of those things would taste like. Bizarre.
That Skull Nebula is super creepy. Shields up!
Speaking of SG stuff, I watched this person (Dr. McTier) do another streaming show on sci-fi aliens at this Caveat theatre a few weeks ago and she was pretty entertaining. She’s a huge SG fan so this show ($10 for streaming tickets) might be fun.

The nebula must be spookier for whichever civilization the nebula graffiti is looking at.
I tell user interface developers to look for inspiration from live action science fiction, movies or pilot episodes especially. Those UI’s are the gold standard of “at a glance” situational awareness.

Suji said this too?
I’m with you on that one. I don’t like sourness and eating popcorn is like eating warm shredded cardboard mixed with plastic shavings.
I’m excited to hear the AI script. As someone working with a number of machine learning project teams I have a good understanding of the limits of AI and I’m curious to know how sensible the script is and how much manual tweaking was done to make it work.
On yesterday’s post, I love the King Spawn #3 – Bjorn Barends cover!
No, to the sour patch snacks.
Yes, to the limoncello.
Spooky nebula!
Crazy about the Alec Baldwin shooting, yes? Of course, it brings to mind Brandon Lee and Jon-Erik Hexum (I used to love that time show he was in). Terrible tragedies, one and all.
Hm, do I need Sour Patch Popcorn? I think I kinda do. My current stash of Birthday Cake popcorn turns out is from Crunch n Munch, not Werthers which explains the way crunchier texture. If they made a Dots flavored popcorn I’d be first in line to get it.
I’m on my second watch of Dune, kids today have it so great with awesome CGI spectacles that make the movies I grew up with look pretty shabby.
