X doesn’t allow for more than four choices for their polls so I went with the four most popular  ones.  Unfortunately, the rind didn’t make the cut.

Head on over and make your voices heard: Vote!

Putting together a list of my Top 10 Best Crime Shows of 2024 and catching up with some old favorites…some of which have disappointed.

The Law According to Lidia Poët (season 2) – I enjoyed the first season and liked the first episode the new season enough but, inexplicably, I can only find the ensuing season 2 episodes dubbed.  So, until I can find them subtitled, I’ve put this rewatch on hold.

Wisting (season 5) – Another solid season for this Nordic crime series.

Last King of the Cross (season 2) – Season was a pleasant surprise and I very much enjoyed the first episode of season 2.  Then, in episode 2, they shoot a dog in a completely unnecessary scene and I lost any desire to continue watching this series.

Dalgliesh (season 3) – You have to be in the right frame of mind to watch this somewhat staid mystery series but I found this new season even more staid than even I can handle.

The Green Glove Gang (season 2) – Season one was a lot of fun but with the raising of stakes in season 2 comes a required increased suspension of disbelief and some pretty silly plotting.  Sadly, season 2 is not for me.

So, what were YOUR favorite crime shows of 2024?

  1. I love oranges! Oranges were one of my big craving while I was pregnant. Unfortunately, I couldn’t eat them because I had gestational diabetes. Now, I get a few of those little Cuties through the day, when I need a pick me up. They are delicious and easy to peel.

How is your Mom? Have you been successful in keeping her from over doing things in the kitchen this holiday? Probably not, is my guess. 😉

Blue Sky: I waste enough time w/o adding another social media account. How many X clones are there now? Threads, Mastodon and now Blue Sky, for certain. Any others that I forgot to list? I don’t hear about Threads or Mastodon so much anymore. Interesting…

    Happy New Year!!!

  2. I really like Dalgliesh. I find it very calming, soothing even. It is definitely a Sunday night, hunkered down on the sofa with the kitties and a glass of wine kinda show.
