Over on twitter (or X as the kids call it), I am running a Stargate’s Greatest Villain Tournament.
Halfway through the first round and the higher seeded baddies have advanced without issue –
Lord Apophis has a lot of followers. Cowan really never stood a chance.
No surprise here either. Anyway, Maybourne was more of an anti-hero. Tough to tops Anubis’s badness.
Another heavy hitter dominates. It could be argued that Fifth wasn’t, at heart, a villain but more of a very powerful being done wrong.
I’m surprised this one wasn’t a little closer but Adria was the slight favorite here over Nirrti.

Todd vs Oberoth –
This one’s surprisingly close!
Senator Kinsey vs Hathor –
This one’s surprisingly not close!
Kolya vs Sokar –
Kolya has the benefit of more screen time while Sokar has the disadvantage of being overshadowed by the likes of Apophis and Anubis.
Michael vs RepliCarter
The results of this one surprise me so far. RepliCarter hanging in tough against arguably one of the franchise’s greatest villains.
