Reindeer-in-training

Occasionally, when we go out, we like to keep Sharky busy with his snuffle mat…

Braving the elements…

Still on the look-out for his perfect brother or sister.

  1. Oh Wow! Sharky seems to be truly deeply enjoying that snuffle mat! xo
I had no idea they even existed. Do you know what scents are used?
and how long the mat retains the scent??
    That is so cool!! xoxo
Hope you are able to find him the perfect companion sibling soon.
Have you looked on the Seattle Rescue site for available or “available soon” puppers??
They seem to have a noticeably larger listing of “immediately available” and “available soon” older pugs than the Portland or LA rescue sites.

If you do see a perfect family addition there you could always combine the adoption trip with an afternoon stop over in Vancouver, to visit old friends, restaurants, and that Beta 5 chocolate shop you enjoy.

We used to follow the Seattle Pug Rescue, but I thought they were no more.

    2. Just looked up the snuffle mat.
So, apparently? … these aren’t scented mats??
Just mats with places to hide treats in to enable treasure hunt fun??

Albeit, I’m thinkin’ you can probably mark it with the scent of some food he enjoys in spots where there are no treats? – to keep him engaged in the fun even longer.
He seems to really love it! xo

  2. Sharky rooting around and sounding like a pig nose was exactly like my beagle sounded when she did that. My beagle was just a little bit louder. I guess Sharky is part beagle after all. He is the cutest!

  3. Both of you really embraced all “the blind dog” tricks. Well done!

From yesterday’s post, it sounds like there’s a lot of us that hate cilantro. 🤔
