Sweet Tea Ice Cream? Yes/No
McAlister's Deli is serving up sweet tea ice cream this summer https://t.co/cvCtMhAOkh— Joseph Mallozzi (@BaronDestructo) June 9, 2022
Smoked Gouda is one of my favorite cheeses, too. It’s great on sandwiches. I recently found a browned butter onion jam that complicates it, also. π
McAlister’s makes the best sweet tea. I rarely order sweet tea because you never know how sweet that particular place makes it. Some of the places should give you a dose of insulin with each glass.
Oh, and no, I wouldn’t bother with the ice cream version.
You both make a cute couple.
Tomorrow I have to help my mom out, so another trip for me. I’m wondering if I should just stay there for a while but I’d rather sell my blood for gas money than live there again. π We would drive each other crazy. π
I might get to use the riding lawnmower tomorrow. I’ve never used one. It looks like fun. I left my son’s manual mower there for the hilly parts in my mom’s yard. Have you ever seen a manual mower? It looks something like this one: https://www.walmart.com/ip/American-Lawn-Mower-1815-18-18-inch-5-Blade-Push-Reel-Lawn-Mower/16607776 I thought it would be better than the weed eater they were using for the unlevel parts.
Anyhoo, my younger brother’s been mowing her yard but he’s sick this week (might be weeks before he can start back). Today, I found out my mom’s been having a blast with the manual mower! π€·ββοΈ I’m not sure an 86 year old should be out mowing but I’m glad she feels up to it. Hopefully, she’ll let me call someone to take over the mowing, on the weekends when I can’t get there. Wish me luck. My dad used to say she was as stubborn as a mule and he wasn’t wrong.
Also, I’ve been working on dismantling that stained glass window I made years ago from her house. What a pain! I’m finally making visible progress and have it about 1/3 apart. I’ve never taken a window apart before. It’s a slow process dismantling because if the glass gets too hot, it will crack. Little by little, though. Once, it’s dismantled I have to find replacement glass for the broken pieces. That’s not going to be easy because all the nearby shops have closed. Nothing beats seeing the glass first hand but I might have to chance mail order.
That’s my life these days. Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend! I’ll be driving either to or from Mom’s house. πββοΈ
