A huge thank you to Stargate fans worldwide who came together over the past 48 hours to blow up twitter – with a little help from some familiar faces…

Yep.  Quite the turnout.  Between the two events, 250k+ tweets and counting the last time I checked.

So, what’s next for #TheDriveToRevive?  Well…

Okay –

Hopefully the waiting game isn’t long. Please let us know if you hear ANYTHING Mr Mallozzi.

Maybe we should do another tweetstorm in a few weeks again?

PBMom

I was thinking the same thing but maybe in 2-3 weeks. We are going to have daily suggestions like we did on DarkMatter on there to keep your ideas fresh.

I’m sorry that I couldn’t join in on the main tweetstorm. Hope my participation in the warmup helped.

PBMom

Every tweet counts. Thanks.

gforce

Is it silly that I got kind of sniffly reading all those cool tweets? The two Tweet storms were all kinds of fun! I just hope it has/had some effect. I can’t take waiting either! I need instant gratification! smile

PBMom

Me too.

How may we, the Greybeards, avoid sevicing the Twitter false gods and express our support for the Sunrise of Stargate? Show us the Light!

Waiting and waiting and waiting…sighhhhhh

Sparrow_hawk

Thanks for sharing those, Joe. It’s impressive how many people involved in the making of the shows came out to show their support. That says a lot. I hope someone is listening. Now we wait. Drat. I hate waiting.

dincorta

Impressed with the results but not surprised. Stargate fans are super loyal and really passionate. This waiting game is gonna be painful.

Still no stats like you did for the N. American one? It would be good to know how Europe and the rest did.

I heard from somewhere that MGM bosses were huge SG fans. Did they participate in the twitter storm? lol Can you imagine that!?

Oh Apophis, one Bailys and he’s face down on the floor. Oh yes, lets bring back Kiryk and his leathers. And everybody else too but definitely Kiryk.

Thank you Joe for putting in all that hard work to get the actors involved. You really pulled out some great old pictures that you normally wouldn’t find just doing a search. I was looking back at your blogs when SGU was first starting up and it was a trip down memory lane.

I speak for the others on the Twitter account that we appreciate everyone’s involvement and especially following the rules. We proved that they worked on Dark Matter and Stargate was able to produce similar results. I did catch the attention of MGM per the StargateCommand twitter feed which was exciting to hear.

And sorry to the European people about the twitter statistics. We had a software issue and were unable to capture them outside of the heartbeat one. Our deepest apologies. I can tell you that we only trended in the top 10 in France that day. I think most of our European friends decided to stay up late (or get up really early) to participate when the actors would be there. It was their help that pushed us into the 100,000+ total for an hour (the first hour capture) on Friday night. And then there were sports just happening all over the world that was hard to compete with to get it trending in the top 10.

Fantastic stack of tweets. It’s great to see all these cool people gather for this.
