HAHAHA I live about 10 miles from Wigan in the UK … great rivals in Rugby League ( I am St.Helens the wife is Widnes !! ).
We always take the mickey out of the “pie eaters” in Wigan. Their statement dish is a Wigan Kebab … 3 pies on a stick. The pie in a bun is also known as a pie barm or pie bun.
Meat and potato pie usually, although some higher end establishments (!!!) use steak & Kidney pies!!

I’m amazed that $10US gets four people lunch. Three pies, gravy, and a loaf? That’s unbelievable. Plus, it looks good.
