Are wasps vindictive? (Asking for a wife who is aiming to take out the nest in her garden planter.)

Oh, in case you missed it (or didn’t want to trudge over to X to listen to it there) here is the Best Of episode in which my co-host, April Neale, and I discuss The Twilight Zone “Nightmare at 20,000 Feet” and The X-Files “Home”…

Another 2025 crime book I enjoyed….

Blood Ties by Jo Nesbo

Brothers Carl and Roy Opgard have killed their way to the top in the small town of Os, but with a new police investigation, a higher body count looms in the picturesque horizon.

Well, we’re Montreal-bound for another 13 days tomorrow.  I have, of course, packed my travel chocolates and planning to pick up some sandwiches because the sandwich options on Montreal’s west island are, in a word, “ass”.

I’ve got a bevy of books lined up and hoping I can hit my 100th 2025 crime book while on this trip!

  1. Depends in the species, but yeah wasps are complete assholes. Got stung near my eye last week doing trail work (before the forest closure) and I disturbed some small trees at the side of the trail. WHAM. Came right out of the bushes and stung me immediately. Good thing I had my glasses or it probably would have gone right for the eye. I did knock my glasses off fighting it away and ran. Luckily a passing hiker helped me find them again!

Good luck in Montreal and give your Mom our best!

  2. Hope You, Akemi & Sharky had a safe non eventful flight.
Didn’t you mention your mom was physically improving a bit and Andria hired a live in
to help take care of her?? Can you not take her in the car for Pastrami sandwiches at SMP or the like? Or have the care taker stay with her at home so you can have a few hours in the afternoon for a downtown Montreal lunch on your own??

    Love to all.
Hugs to Mama Angela from one of her biggest fans. xo
