Last day in Montreal! In preparation for my departure and return home, mom set aside some time last night and this morning to make some Taralli for Akemi. And by “some”, I mean “lots of”.
Cutting the dough.
Making the rings.
Racking before boiling.
Baking.

And awaiting me on my return home…

My mom is 86 and she says “When you quit moving, you’ll stop moving.” I can see your mom has a similar mindset.
If I ever find any place that serves tarailli, I’ll give it a try.
