Netflix tries to woo you back by offering to un-cancel ONE series (but not Dark Matter or Stargate, because that would be too obvious).  Which series are you resurrecting?  P.S. Doesn’t have to be a Netflix show.

The tale of Prometheus also impresses upon us the blessings to be found in shifting one’s focus from modern technology to the beauty of solitary introspection, nature, and birds.

I can’t believe they’re doing a Booster Gold t.v. series and haven’t called me yet!

A good honey cruller is impossible to beat.

Every damn time.

Today’s Yes/No…

Out for dinner tonight with my friend and fellow writer/producer Alex Levine.  The topic of conversation tonight will be anything BUT the t.v. industry because it just makes me alternately angry and depressed.  Instead, our focus will be on the bacon and tongue pizza!

  1. I just triple-binged Babylon 5. There was none of that post-scarcity softness a couple Star Treks treat as virtue. Strangely, it was so full of 90s nostalgia. It went above and beyond in being respectful to religion.

I’m not sure I want to see it made today. Today is stupid and B5 doesn’t deserve that.

    1. Also, I doubt it would have successfully completed its five-season arc if it had aired in a later decade.

  2. I think with these TV shows nowadays they are just throwing shows out there and seeing what sticks to the walls. I heard a comment the other day about today’s TV industry and it made me mad too. Don’t remember what was said, just remember it made me mad. (Good grief I’m getting more like my mom every day. She would drive me crazy saying stuff like… “I read an interesting article about dogs and thought of you, but I can’t remember what it said”.)

I said yes to that shrimp rice ball but I must admit it looks like they duct taped it together.

  3. Resurrect Travelers please Netflix. I really want to see what happens next… oh and naturally Dark Matter and some more Stargate. I also am eager to see the rest of the story.

My favourite doughnut – can’t decide between jam or cinnamon. I have never had a Krispy Kreme so I don’t know what the fuss is. When I was a child My favourite pastry was chocolate eclair. I haven’t eaten them since being diagnosed with Diabetes.

I watched the James Gunn video and it’s good to see that they will be making more than just Batman and Superman. I look forward to seeing more of the DC universe. Hope you are involved in one of the projects. that would be cool.

I’m recovering, not quite back at work yet. Diagnosis is Epilepsy. I feel like it is somehow related to Sleep Apnea. Anyhoo, I’m getting plenty of sleep and relaxing.

    Hope all is well.

    cheers, Chev

  4. Bacon and tongue pizza? 🤔I could live without that food porn. I hope all of you have a great time!

Your mind is all over the place in this post. Welcome to the club!

Netflix has made some blunders. I’ll wait and see if the CEO backs down on this one, too. I don’t know which show I’d ask to come back. All the shows I loved are older and the cast have probably moved on (Firefly, Farscape, Eureka, etc).

Honey Crullers are good. Boston Creams and an Old Fashioned Plain Crullers are my favorites. The Old Fashioned Plain Cruller has a great nutmeg flavor and it’s not drenched in a sugar glaze, so the crunch is still there. The Chocolate covered Old Fashion Cruller is a winner too.

Our ice storm is slowly melting. It was beautiful but I won’t miss it. I need to move further south.

  5. I read about this new policy from Netflix on Spoiler TV earlier today, where one of the admins posted an analysis of why it’s a terrible idea: https://www.spoilertv.com/2023/02/adams-analysis-netflixs-password.html

If it doesn’t have to be a show that aired on Netflix originally and can’t be Stargate or Dark Matter, then Caprica, the Battlestar Galactica prequel. There was more story to tell about how things got to the point of the First Cylon War, which made it zaney to cancel the show. Of course, I could say the same about Netflix’s own The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance.

Netflix just cancelled Warrior Nun, which reminds me of the Dark Matter cancellation because it was cancelled for money-related reasons despite being a successful and popular show. In this case, because it was expensive to make (in Dark Matter’s case, because they couldn’t profit from merchandise or international distribution and it was getting better ratings than shows they could): https://www.spoilertv.com/2023/01/warrior-nun-savewarriornun-campaign.html

  6. Personally, I think the world is past ready for a Gilligan’s Island reboot.

    What!?

You picked number 6 when number 10 was right. there.

    shakes head *

  7. Netflix keeps teasing me with Travelers as a trending show I’d like, tricking me into thinking there are new seasons, I second or third bringing back Travelers and all things SG. Meanwhile I’m glad there will at least be new Foundation, Picard and Friends and Mandalorian.
