Yozo! How goes your weekend? What’s new and exciting on your end?
Did a little writing today, completing the first of two outlines I’m looking to deliver beginning of next week. Did a little (slow going) reading. Packed Suji into her stroller and took a walk down to the park for a dog-related event. Lots of rescues, toys, treats, food – and attention for Suji who was the belle of the ball in her fancy wheelchair. On the way home, we finally checked out that new ice cream place…
WTF? I found a piece of corn in my soft serve.
It was actually better than it looked.
Hey! What happened to the old neon green @KFC cole slaw I used to know and love and burn my throat? pic.twitter.com/n8sRs0gO81

Honestly? Meh.
My favorite type of producers are the kind who contribute to the success of a production.

My inspirational quote of the day…
Fly as high as you can as an exotic bird before everyone discovers you’re just a curry-dipped seagull.
Curry bird? Interesting!
This weekend’s a bust for me. I received my second shingles vaccine and the side effects are kicking my butt!
I’m glad Suji was worshipped. She deserves it.
Tam, I had shingles “early” (age 49) in 2005. Trust me, you do NOT want that week of incessant itching. The vaccine is worth it!
Yes, I’m vaccinated now.
I don’t see the corn. Where’s the corn? That is a disgusting picture of ice cream by the way. lol
Couldn’t you have smushed it down or something? 🙂
That ice cream appearance though ….. hahahahaha
Quiet weekend here, though I did spray what’s left of my front lawn this morning for white grubs, which have pretty much eaten through all the roots of about 3/4 of the area. First sign was late last fall when the crows starting tearing up the rootless tufts of grass to get at them. By this spring, just a shovel full of dirt would contain about a dozen of the grubs. ugh. Anyway, these nematode parasites that I used are supposed to be very effective while still completely non-toxic to anything else. That combined with reseeding was a fair bit of work over the last few days.
Mealworms?
Exciting but not new: Tomorrow, May 29, is our 40th wedding anniversary. We’ll spend it quietly due to Husband’s neuro issues.
Sorry to hear about your husband’s neuro issues. May today be a happy one for you both.
Thank you, Joe.
Did Suji make that ice cream … very aristic!
Looks like a seagull that’s been touched by King Midas.
“It was actually better than it looked” well, the way it looked, that’s really not surprising at all 🙂
