Akemi came across this old(ish) photo from a wedding we attended in Osaka many years back.  It was, at one point, suggested that I wear a man’s kimono to the event.  Akemi’s family thought I would look great and I seriously considered the possibility before ultimately deciding to go with the suit.  And, in retrospect, a good thing I did because on the day of the wedding, every Japanese male guest in attendance was wearing a suit.  I would have looked like a fucking idiot!!!

I can’t help but feel I was being set up.

Akemi today: Dr. Blackjack was telling me about shingles today.  You have to get your shot if you had chicken pops.

Me: Chicken pox.  It’s called Chicken Pox.

Akemi: No, chicken pops because the pimples pop out of your skin.

Okay.

They call me…Mousse Killer…

Today’s Yes/No…

Well hmmm….

Australian man eats nothing but KFC for a month

“‘That is because this type of diet releases more serotonin and drops the dopamine, so therefore you not only feel unmotivated and less positive, you’re also happier being on the couch and doing less.'”

This may explain a few things.  Might need to shake up the old diet!

  1. Potato chip PB cup is a YES for me. There’s a story, but one had to be there…😉

  2. I love that photo, you both look fantastic, elegant and resplendent.

No thanks on potato chips in the candy bar. Meh.

Ah, the shingles shots. It’s a two part vaccine. Mine involved a waitlist of over six months. I found it particularly mean and was down for a couple days after. Covid was easier for me. I got the pneumonia vaccine too, long ago, that’s around the same age, yes?

    May your chicken never pop.

  3. I’ve got to schedule my Chicken Pop shot, too. Love that!

That is a great picture! The kimono would have been funnier though. 😉

From yesterday: Yes, my cousin gave Mom a coffee cup in the shape of a toilet. I hate that cup. She never uses it and it must be 40 years old. It’s going to disappear next time I’m in her house alone…. My mom’s getting forgetful, so I think she’ll be none the wiser. 😉

We’re in Hot Springs and it is gorgeous! Downtown is decked out for Christmas bigtime. There are lights up everywhere. We walked through so many displays on the way to dinner. It’s been a great evening. I hope everyone else has a good night, also!

  4. When you took that video of Akemi in her beautiful dress (I know that’s not what it’s called), weren’t you drunk? Something about walking the streets eating eclairs?

Akemi is so smart. I love her re-styling of the English language. It’s so much funner.

Ever had chocolate covered potato chips. Mmmmm, good stuff! So I’m open to putting potato chips in my Reese’s Cup.

I’ve just started drinking a French Vanilla Cappuccino every night. That’s bad, right?

Lol, the sheer faux pas that would have been.

  6. Suit good call. Because of my accident and the virus I haven’t seen my girlfriend for five years. I miss Thailand. I was let go from work. It is interesting how much west is influenced on the east. I just finished watching the 3 seasons of Defiance. It was filmed in Toronto but I don’t see any crossover in the credits

  7. Y’all look Great! Had you worn the Kimono they’d had a good laugh at your expense. I will try the Reese’s with chips, I like snacking like that, something chocolaty with salty crunch. Sounds just right for me!
