Damnit.  I didn’t get around to watching any horror movies today.  Instead, I spent my afternoon focused on something far scarier – the stock market.

Nog season is upon us!  It may seem pricey, but remember…this is in Canadian dollars which converts to about thirty-five cents USD.

On Sunday, while visiting our local farmer’s market, we came across a guy selling eight different types of garlic.  So, of course, we had to buy them all.  And, of course, Akemi had to roast them all.  And, of course, I had to sample them all.  A terrific line-up through and through, but I think the Persian was my favorite.

  1. That sauce did look good, but those noodles are probably even better with beef and fresh veggies;, maybe shrimp too in a quick stir fry. And peas and cabbagae and carrots. More is more. Though at midnight it’s true that I’d settle for just the noodles and not waste precous snacking time chopping veggies.

The stock market be fickle, messing with exchange rates, hopefully it will right itself in time for your next US dining adventure. Gotto go watch La Brea, no really it’s filling the Terra Nova/Land of The Last void I didn’t know I had, I remember worrying about those poor people trapped in dino infested alternate dimensions as a kid.

  2. You are just bound and determined to lose money in the Stock Market, aren’t you?

  3. Roasted garlic sounds wonderful! I’ve heard there are different kinds but have only seen the basic one here. Plus, I have garlic growing in my back yard garden.

Are either of you eggnog people?

  4. We once had the face of Bryan Ferry etch itself behind the log fire….. 🙂
    Fun times.

  5. Need to try a Pot Noodle – Bombay Bad Boy …. for instant gratification! …..
