  1. Punisher baby. I want to read Outpost, what is up that ladder? Doesn’t bode well for intergalactic livin’. I got this tweet from a friend and it’s so painfully good; it’s what you get when you teach a bot to write Hallmark Christmas movies. Today I made goo goo eyes at the work desert buffet but stuck with my Kind bar and yogurt. I call it a win and will celebrate with marshmallows in my sugar free cocoa. Finally got to cozy up with the Mars 2 finale; this season was especially chilling considering the state of our global climate.

  2. Wow! These are all rather dynamic, it’s hard to choose a fav. The Stan Lee dedication clouds my choice a little too as for me, it’s the anniversary of my younger brother’s passing…
I guess I will go with, and in no particular fav. order, Captain America, Outpost Zero and The Black Moon Chronicles (They kinda sum up how things feel too)

  3. For starters…this is very eye catching.
    Captain America #6

Then, The Black Moon Chronicles, vol. 18: The Opal Throne

  4. This week, I’d go with :
    – Outpost Zero, simple and good idea. Nice scale. Reminds me of The Abyss or any submarine movie, love it. (And Alex is a good friend, so, well,… 😛 )
    – Captain Marvel, classic pose and compo, good idea with the logo in the back, great brush art and color palette.
    – Punisher, excellent idea with the mix between two logos in the back. Good visual teasing that opens a wide range of fun promises.

  5. Hard to choose,,, Domino # 9, The Life of Captain Marvel #5,Captain America #6 … many talented people.

  6. Those are awesome! There is so much going on in each cover. Amazing artwork.

I saw they are redoing Hellboy (the movie). Ron Perlmen became Hellboy to me. The way he’d throw out a line, so casual, was pretty great. “Didn’t even buy me a drink.” I’m sure the new movie will have better effects but I’ll probably give it a pass.

I’m making an overnight mom visit tomorrow. My three brothers (and their families) bring a lot of chaos. I’m not sure how my mom deals it. She’s 83 and still helps them all. I was trying to convince her to take a break at my house (it’s calm here) but she says they wouldn’t be able to get along without her. She’s probably right about that, they rely on her too much. It starts early too. One of my brother’s starts calling her at 6:30 a.m. for a “therapy” session. She gets mad if I turn the phone ringer off. 😉 I’m going to need a large glass of some kind of alcohol and a nap when I get back.

I’m spending Christmas at home. What’s everyone else doing for the holidays?

  7. I rather like all the covers, they make a nice set. Domino, Friendo, Captain, and Punisher stand out.

Christmas? I did put up my decorations. I cried over the matching ornaments with our names on them. I will spend Christmas breakfast with my brother D’s family, and Christmas dinner with my widowed SIL. My coping strategy is to treat it like a duty day; it will suck, but has to be done. So far my only holiday gift has been from Reddit Secret Santa. They sent cat grooming gloves from my Amazon wishlist (good), Cube 2 (wtf?), Time Bandits (also from my list I need a new copy, but low priority), and a Cooking Solo cookbook, the Joy of Cooking for Yourself. Seriously. They got a cookbook as their first ever SS gift and it led to “a lifetime of a love of cooking”. Dude. I am 61 and have an extensive cookbook collection. Not wanting to cook and living on bean and cheese burritos is a temporary grief induced thing. I know how to cook. I know how to cook for one, or how to freeze my leftovers. I will not find “joy” in cooking for one. Back to Amazon it goes, along with Cube 2. Who sends a sequel? So there’s my holiday gripe. I’ll go set something on fire in the firepit and get drunk once my family obligations are fulfilled.
