  1. Since I got my degree from there, am employed there, and have two daughters who attend(ed) there (1 graduated, the other graduates soon), I’m a bit biased toward LSU. And while I’m anything but a sports fan, I know Alabama is a consistently great team so if I were making a completely un-biased decision I would have to go with them. Thankfully, I’m biased so it’s purple and gold all the way, I just wish they’d quit asking for more and more and MORE fiber in the stadium! I think there’s a camera AND a TV for every one of the 102,000+ people it can hold, but they still want more. Oh well, job security I guess.

  2. No doubt in my mind that year in and year out, the SEC plays some of the best football in the land. There are multiple, honest contenders to be the SEC champion this year. Alabama, of course, has a slight edge, but this might be the year that the tide gets derailed. In terms of a team to follow, I’d have to go with my school, South Carolina. With 9 starters returning on the offense this year, including the “magic man” Deebo Samuels, the gamecocks should be a real entertaining school to watch, on both sides of the ball.

In 2016, we started more true freshmen than any other school in the country. Spurrier left the team a little bare in the personnel department when he left the team in mid-season 3 years ago. Despite that,. Will Muschamp enters his 3rd year as head coach with a pretty solid team that is sure to score some points. If you don’t watch but 1 SC game this year, tune into the 2cd game of the season, Sep 8th, against Georgia. I predict an excellent game with USC pulling an upset of the #3 ranked Bulldogs! Regardless, this is always a good game and a lot of the times, the winner goes onto a great year.

    Go Cocks!

  3. Well, since I’m B1G all the way, I picked Tennessee since I know people who root for them. LOL I don’t have any friends that are SEC fans of any other team.

  4. Of course, I’m rooting for the Bulldogs. Jake Fromm (sophomore) is returning as quarterback, and D’Andre Swift (the running back who rushed for 618 yards last season) is returning as a sophomore as well. And we’re expecting great things from newly acquired running back James Cook from Miami.

I’m still trying to figure out how the Dawgs receivers are doing. Terry Godwin may or may not return, but coach Smart thinks they’ll have a strong receiver staff regardless. Guess we’ll see soon enough…

  5. Texas A&M Aggies. Did you hear about the Aggies that were shooting craps? They blew a hole in the toilet. 🙂

  6. Wowza, I’m back on! Thanks to you and Rita, I’m sure. Was it the IP address? I mentioned the 403 to my computer hubby/son and they took it on like a project. I kept trying to tell them it wasn’t that big of a deal but they love a challenge.

I had to vote for Mississippi State because my son graduated from there this year. He’s working full time in his field and loves it. MSU was a good choice for him.

I’m enjoying the pups FB page. In a world full of political garbage, these girls are a welcome oasis. It’s just amazing how much better Suji looks after a few years (?) with y’all! She so strong and confident. It’s like a different dog. Amazing!

    1. I’m thrilled that you bypassed that nasty 403 error and are back in. Thanks for your patience.

  7. I’d be labeled a traitor if I didn’t say Tennessee! Go Big Orange!! But realistically if you want to win Alabama. Now for SEC Basketball. Lady Vols all the way!!
