June 10, 2018: Hereditary and Housecleaning!

This past Friday, I caught yet another matinee – Hereditary, proclaimed by many critics to be the scariest movie ever made!

There were, admittedly, some great scares.  Also, some real head-scratching developments.  My thoughts…

If you see the movie, I would love to hear your thoughts.

Also, I’m on a role.  What should I check out next on the big screen?

Today I hand in (what I assume will be) the final draft on two projects after which…who knows?  I’m taking the month of June to wrap up a number of things (including the move) and then, starting in July, I’ll be doing another, uh, housecleaning of sorts.  Time to recharge and refocus!

    For see A Quiet Place. One of the best I have seen in a while. I am sure you will see the end coming but it does so much wonderful story telling with just images. Love to know what you think.

    Joe, if you have seen the first Incredibles movie, the second one comes out on Friday. I am not usually a fan of funny movies, but the first one was one of the few I really liked. And from the trailers the second one looks just as good.

    I finally saw the new Avengers movie. I liked it but I’m hoping Dr Strange will reverse some of the tragedy. My hubby thinks Captain Marvel will make all the difference in part 2.

    I’m getting too old for theaters. We might wait until a movie is released on Blu-ray next time. The lady next to me played with her phone during the movie and left her seat four times. Why bother going to a theater if you don’t watch the movie?

    I agree with @Tim G., “The Incredibles 2” looks very good!

    Has anyone watched Katie Sackhoff’s new movie “2036 Origin Unknown”? I’m considering renting/buying that one. I’m a Katie fan.

    When do you make the big move?

      Oh and “Jurassic Word 2”. It might be more fluff fiction than you care for but Chris Pratt is always fun.

    I saw Hereditary Friday. My thoughts: The first hour was like watching paint dry, the second hour was ‘how stupid and broken are these people?’ and the final 20 minutes was WTF is going on and general head scratching. The ending was just plain strange.

    I’m trying to remember the last time I went to a movie, something big screen. It has been years, yikes. I should hop the bus and catch the early bird showings, now that I’m old and silver-haired, they’re like $5.

    I suppose I have to be the one. Roll. Unless you’re playing one on TV.

    “Another house cleaning of sorts” Hmmmm. Very curious.

    As far as movies, I want to see the Han Solo one and the new Jurassic Park one. Fingers crossed I can make that happen; if not, I’ll catch it on DVD or on-demand.
