Lulu (10), and Suji (12) may be old timers, but what they lack in mobility they more than make up for in spirit and appetite.

This week, we dropped them of with our new dogsitter, Cynthia, for the day.  Step #1 complete.  In a couple of weeks, Step #2 will see us drop them off for an overnight stay.  If all goes well, we move on to Step #3: Akemi and I go to New York for a couple of days.  And, if that goes swimmingly, it’s Japan in January for Le Salon de Chocolat!

Suji, as usual, squeezes in.

And ends up squeezing Lulu out – also, as usual.

In preparation for the wintry months ahead, Akemi and I have borrowed a red wagon from our friend Gosia who used to use it wheel around her adorable pug Lucy.  We tested it by taking them out for a ride a couple of days ago and the dogs loved it!

  1. I think Suji loves the camera. 🙂 I’ll be in the NY area in April to fly to London.

  2. I hope everything works out for you with Lulu, Suji and the new sitter so that you’ll be able to travel some again. I can only imagine how much Akemi misses her family. I love NYC at the holidays. Remember to sign up using the Hamilton app who you can be placed in a lottery daily for Hamilton tickets — unless you have connections.

    1. @PBmom Hugs for today. Hope all goes well. xo

@Joe. The girls are adorable as usual.
Keeping my fingers crossed all goes well with the new sitter
so you and Akemi can spend some needed alone time together..

@Gforce Would love to see the Grand Canyon pics from this year.

      1. I do have a few. Since Photobucket doesn’t work (without paying) any more, I’m still looking for a hosting site.

The pups are looking great and I’m glad to see they’re doing well. Here’s hoping they get along great at the pet sitter’s!

  3. Alons-y! Adventure awaits. Love the wagon!

Hope the new sitter works out! You and Akemi deserve a vacation.

  4. Oh, I meant to ask..what is coconut bacon? Is it for the pups or people? You had me at bacon!

  5. Fingers crossed all goes swimmingly with Cynthia and the gals, so you can both relax in NYC and later, Japan! 😊

  6. Isn’t it weird not having them in the house? Luna’s aunt Christine picked her up about 2 weeks ago to go to the vet, and we didn’t know what to do with ourselves. It was too quiet.

Jeepers Creepers 3 absolutely sucked! I’m a huge fan of the series, and was really looking forward to it. It was a huge disappointment, mainly because it was supposed to delve into the Creeper’s origins. It didn’t, and really just felt like a set up for the fourth film, which probably won’t get made because this one sucked so hard. So all that to say: Great programming choice, Sy-Fy.

  7. I’ve sent you a letter, but it’s probably going to be late. I’ve had some health issues lately that keep me inside so I depend on others, who were not available until Nov 10 to mail the letter, then the post office’s computer was down, so they could only sell stamps. Some day’s, you just can’t mail a letter. Oh well. Rules are rules, so I don’t expect anything. The thought is heartfelt, however.

I’m sure your pups will love the sitter and your trips will happen. Things seem to work out for you. You have what tit takes.

  8. So much cuteness, Lulu’s batwing ears were made for that Radio Flyer. Glad the ladies got Winter wheels so they can stay toasty and dry rather than ruining their cool outfits on slushy sidewalks. Can’t wait to see those NYC and Japan food pics.

  9. @PBMom: Good luck and prayers for a good outcome!

Cute puppy pictures, Joe! I hope things work out well with the dogsitter; then you can travel knowing they are content and in good hands.
