While I was sequestered in the Production Offices writing, sitting in on the VFX and Playback meeting, and trying to figure out a way to fit a square peg (Episode 308) in a round hole (the Episode 308 production schedule) Alison, Ivon, and Elliot were back at the other studio having a blast. Trust me. Behind those dust masks are the HUGEST smiles. Picture courtesy of Jozie Conte.
After yesterday’s kvetching, I’m pleased to report significant progress on the script front. Special thanks once again go out to Alison Hepburn who offered up a terrific visual idea – inspiring me to tear through 5 full script pages so that I could finally get to it. She’s got some pretty funny ideas – both “haha” and strange.
Director of Photography Craig Wright finds his light.
Director Gail Harvey calls the shots.
Reminds me of the summer camp I went to when I was a kid. The kid who slept in the bunk above me was nicknamed Monkey and ate styrofoam cups on a dare. Ah, the follies of youth.
Amy Matysio as Lieutenant Vara.
Lara Arabia, Amber Goldfarb, Michael Rhoades and other passengers bound for parts unknown.
Suji in her oversized earmuffs.
I have a feeling tomorrow’s going to be a BIG writing day. If I can power through this fourth act, it’ll be smoooooth sailing.
As soon as I figure out what’s going to happen in the fifth act.
In case you were thinking about it, this was not good. Note the mother chortling away at the thought of her kid eating it.
Yeah, I gotta say it doesn’t look good. I don’t eat processed foods, so no matter what Mom was doing on the package it still wouldn’t look good. haha
Thanks to Alison H for getting your writing back on track!
This is incredibly exciting getting to see a glimpse of what it takes to develop a hit show like Dark Matters. Thank you to so many talented people!
Love Suji in her earmuffs, maybe she is trying to lick them off?!!?
The bunk beds, heaven forbid you all get sn**ed in, but at least you have a place to rest.
Whew! That was a close call! Thanks so much for saving me Joe. Those braised lotus root in soy sauce, sitting in a bowl on the bar top in front of me, bear an uncanny resemblance to glazed snack pretzels. I was about to nibble on one to enjoy with my evening cocktail.
Darn Good thing I read your blog entry first, eh! 😀
I can’t imagine eating Yeongeun Jorim. Nope. That’s a whole lot of nope right there. It doesn’t look visually appealing either lol.
Good luck with your BIG writing day 😊 Glad Alison got you passed that block. What a gal!
It amazes me how you get your pups to keep on all their various items of clothing.
My Puddle, a Parsons terrier type pup, absolutely will not wear anything other than a collar. He totally destroyed a quilted jacket I got him for this cold weather – still come across tattered remnants in the orchard where I work, every now and again….
Perhaps it’s a breed thing?
Glad you found your mojo!
Is it just me, or does that tongue of Suji’s look too big for her small face?
That’s one flexible, lo-o-o-n-n-n-g tongue.
So, how long does it take to dress her for walkies?
Any news about her eye condition or treatment?
It is snowing – flurries right now outside my office. Nothing appears to be sticking to the ground – yes!
Take care all!
I generally like fresh lotus root, but that looks like a wretched mess.
Suji’s koala ears are the perfect disguise, next step: break into zoo for that koala rave deejayed by Skrillex.
Wonder where those folks are shipping off to, they’re so lucky to get to play space commuters even if those bunks don’t look comfy. Can’t wait to see this ep and see what those masks were for.
Go Alison H 👍
Lt Vara and outward-bound passengers – how will this storyline play out, and are any of the Raza crew on the passenger list? 🤔
Yay Allison! She deserves donuts. 😉
2cats: Where do you live? We have 70F and beautiful here in the Memphis area today.
Have a G’day Y’all!
@Tam Dixon
I live by the Jersey Shore… and while flurries stopped for 2-3 hours, it is now again coming down with a vengeance. Northern part of the state may get 2-3″. The temp here is currently 34′ F, so I don’t expect the snow to pile up, just make a mess of the roads.
‘Ta!
Amy Matysio has my vote, don’t know for what but she has it.
I’d be afraid that the earmuffs would be so heavy that Suji would just tilt forward and over.
Mystery pictures, mystery sets…”passengers bound for parts unknown”..very intriguing.
Yay! Go Alison to the ideas to get things moving again. Suji looks so warm and toasty.
