Don’t let the door hit your ass on the way out!
My 2017 resolutions…
1) Learn to say no more.
2) Learn to say yes more.
3) Don’t let any of it get to me.
4) Make Dark Matter’s third season the best one yet, then make Dark Matter’s fourth season even better.
5) Simplify and downsize.
6) Diversify.
7) Do more of those dreaded meetings.
8) Read more.
9) Go to Japan and visit places that aren’t Tokyo or Osaka.
10) Set up a new show.
Let’s start with those and see how we do.
Do not let your eyes deceive you. What at first appears to be industrial drain cleaner is actually one of China’s most celebrated liquors that retails for about $200 a bottle. It’s sort of like a cross between home made grappa and street tequila – but harsher. What better way to ring in the New Year?
Mom has already gotten started!
Haven’t you heard? “Kitty” hats are IN among strong women, thanks to Trump’s “locker-room talk”.
Happy new year and thanks for being a bright spot in every year, but especially 2016.
~I think I need to resolve to clean my closet, and why do closets shrink clothes.?!?
~Reorganize my sewing area(dining room table)
~Win a big lottery to build a sewing room…and a house and car for my mom,,.
~I would say lose weight and exercise more, but, reality sets in…(and then I might not have to clean out the closet,,hmmmm….
~~~so hope everyone has a safe, healthy and Happy new year!!
***Mom looks amazing, all cute and stuff!!
Your mom is so cute!
Happy New Year to you all; looking forward to a fabulous 2017!
Sorry, that Chinese drink looks like $200.00 drain cleaner. For that price, they should have come up with a nicer bottle.
By the way, please don’t work on your learning to say no, this year. I need to ask you for a favour in a month or two.
Yay! Be gone 2016.
Happy New Year 2017 to everyone! 😁
“set up a new show” Hmmmmmmm……
Your mom looks adorable.
I will not miss 2016 at all. I’m preparing for the worst for 2017 and I’m actually an optimist but this has been an unusual year.
I don’t make resolutions. They just stress me with more things I need to do or should be doing. I’ve felt a lot better since banning that tradition. But I love reading everyone else’s.
Happy New Year to all. Despite our “fireworks are prohibited” in our township, people who do not care about obeying the law are blowing them off already outside and it isn’t even 8 pm yet. They don’t scare Boomer at all thank goodness, but I have so many clients who have dogs that are freaked out by them.
I appreciate the friendships I’ve made here and I’m looking forward to getting to know more people on the blog.
Happy New Year, Joe, and to all the family! I hope the drain cleaner wasn’t too toxic.
Also, happy new year to all my fellow blog readers! Life wouldn’t be the same without you.
I think he only resolution is to try to keep on the grassy side for another year.
Happy New Year, Joe!!
Happy New Year to you and your family, Joe, both human and canine. And thank you for faithfully popping up in my mailbox every day, regardless of whatever insanity happened to be assailing the “outside world” at the time!
Wishing my fellow blog readers a healthy, happy 2017! Getting ready to gather up our three noise-sensitive border collies and head to the basement, turning on fans and the TV in an attempt to drown out the (illegal) fireworks a neighbor (retired cop!) sets off every year, grrr!
“I think the only resolution is to try to keep on the grassy side for another year.”
😆 Ain’t that the truth! 😆
Happy New Year Joe, Akemi, and blog family!
I’m a firm believer in presentation. The catchier a bottle, book and/or book title the more likely I am to pick it up and read it, sample it, buy it…..I’d pass on the drain cleaner though. There’s a new moonshine at our Liqour store that looks like a container of turpentine. Lots still on the shelf.
Hope you have a wonderful New Years celebration with family! Unfortunately I worked today and work tomorrow. Went to a friend’s house for dinner & desserts but had to leave before the ball drops to get home and get ready to face tomorrow. Gotta be there at 7:00 a.m. Good Lord willing and the creek don’t rise.
Safe travels home tomorrow.
Happy New Year to all!!
P.S. Love your mom’s mouse hat and she has on a beautiful necklace.
Hi Joe
Happy New Years to you and your family.
Happy New Years to my blog brothers and sisters.
May 2017 fulfill all your dreams and wishes!!!
Elminster
Happy New Year everyone!
It’s been a busy end of 2016 for me. Since the last time I posted here on Joe’s blog I’ve:
* quit my job in the UK
* moved back home to Australia
* got a new job which I start on January 3
* bought a new car
* moved into a new house (the furniture arrived last Friday so it’s been a crazy few days of unpacking boxes!)
Somewhere amongst all that was Christmas but I don’t really remember it!
Hopefully 2017 will be a bit more settled!
@LineNoise WOW. That is quite a lot of major things. Wishing you the best for your new life back in Australia.
Happy New Year. Mom is darling. May everyone be healthy and happy.
Other places in Japan? I love Kyoto, Nikko and Kamakura. Can be touristy, but that’s alright. Hakone is pleasant, great for Harley rides. I want to go back and see what they’ve done with Yokosuka, some of the new street view stuff looks interesting, see how much it has changed.
After four surgeries in 2016, 17 must be better. We’re going to Maui next week. Yay, us.
@maggiemayday Maui? Awesome! Have a great time.
Happy New Year Blog Family.
Like Maggie L80 I’ve had to work straight through the weekend. We are re-organizing the NS101 project. Lost a lot of ed partners and funding so we are working on how to keep it going for next couple years for the educators and researchers in need. It won’t be easy but there are at least a small handful of us left willing to give it a try.
Loved the baby pics of Max & Jelly and mama Mallozzi looks adorable in her hat. <3 I'll Pass on the two hundred dollar bottle of drain cleaner. Don't think it'd go too well with the BLT I'm enjoying for lunch right now.
Safe travels back to Toronto. Hope Akemi enjoys her Christmas presents!
Will email ya the details for the Maximus & Jelly Fund and other such anniversary gift details this next weekend.
Sending Hugs n kisses and much Love to all
Always
@maggiemayday Safe Travels. Enjoy Maui! Hope you’ll take lots of pics to share! And very glad to see ya feeling much better! xo
@Linenoise. That really was quite a big move. Hope you’re all settling in and adjusting ok. Sending Very Best Wishes for 2017.
@PBMom Hope the knee pain is easing up.
@Joe: So very good to see Lulu active & playing again! And hope ‘your’ knee does not start to have problems as a result of your slip on the ice. Keeping my fingers crossed it only hurt your pride. (Though as everyone here pointed out – its much wiser to play it safe be pro-active when its comes to knee injuries. So RICE even if there is no pain and might I suggest Tiger Balm if you do begin to have pain. It’s always worked pretty well for me.) Loved your moms kitties in their xmas hats! Definitely adorable! <3 Must have been kinda crazy at times dealing with so many fur babies in the house all at once this Christmas eh!? Hope they all had fun.
@Drea My knee pain is much better. I’m off the one crutch and able to climb stairs again (going upstairs I’m one step at a time, but that will change quickly I’m sure; downstairs like a normal person). I usually am wakened in the middle of the night with stabbing pain or muscle pain (like a charley horse) in that area the day after I am in PT, but they are working me harder those days than they have me doing in my home exercises. Now if my feet and back would cooperate, I’d be peachy all over. One thing at a time. I’m ecstatic I’ve made fast progress on the knee once I started PT and got some good exercises to help.
Happy New Year everyone!
I’m raising my virtual glass of 2017 cheer to say, here’s to continued anticipation of seeing Dark Matter season 3!
May it be full of tortuous plot twists, unexpected reveals and surprises, fabulous CGI and creative ingenuity, gorgeous sets and costumes. This all brought to us by an amazing cast, crew and behind the scenes wizards and of course, our Joe Mallozzi, writer and executive producer extraordinaire!
Huzzah!
Happy New Year! 🙂
Those are good resolutions. Hope you make them all happen.
Number 10 – Set up a new show… awesome
Definitely looks like drain cleaner!
Love Mom’s hat 👍
Happy New Year to Joe’s beautiful mom! That looks like a bottle of Brasso or Redi Whip.
