    1. “Oh wow. Is that really Grimace?”

Yep. He lost a lot of weight during rehab.

  1. I always thought that it was (probably unintentionally) appropriate for a McDonald’s related character to be named Grimace. Usually sums up my reaction about 1/2 hour after eating there.

It looks like a great day of good eats, and those berries do look excellent. Still, probably not as good as our delicious New Brunswick ones. 😉

  2. How are you going to use all those blueberries? Berries and grapes are one of the foods that are okay to just freeze without blanching or anything and then eat them barely thawed as long as you get to them before the freezer burn or some stray smell from other freezer food does.

  3. Did I read somewhere here that you got a green light on one of your projects!!!??? I am sorry I have been very behind here lately. If I read that correctly, then CONGRATS!!! I am so excited for you and can’t wait to see it.

The recent event of losing one car, we are now a one car family. But we are blessed that my husband works less than 1/2 mile from home, so sharing the car is easy. Also blessed that no one was hurt when the car broke down and with the money from selling the car ( it was toast – no warning signs nothing,no engine light warning, nada, just died) I was able to go home to New England for my mother’s 80th birthday and celebrate the 4th. It poured thanks to Arthur but got to spend time with my family. So between those two events and working on some freelance projects, I’ve been a little preoccupied.

    And once again, Congrats!

  4. I need to get to Canada more often, you guys always look like you are having fun.. (And now I just need to get my computer inline)

  5. In that first picture up there, Akemi looks a little pregnant. Ha,ha,ha,ha! Ha, ha. Ha,…right? She’s not, is she? Is she?

  6. The French have foie gras, Americans have hot dogs, and we Canadians have the the beavertail.

i thought that poutine was the food thing canadia was known for.

  7. @Ponytail – I think that’s jacket pockets poofing out. Too high for just a little preggo. Unless you were referring to a general glow.

  8. I had a dream about you last night, Joey. You gave me your phone number, then when I tried to call you never answered, and when you finally did answer you told me not to call! Then why did you give me your number?! Anyway, we decided it was best to keep our communication confined to the interwebs.

The dream made me feel sad and rejected. Big meanie. 🙁

    🙂

  9. OK, you are finally working like us ordinary people. Good for you !
Now, should we already begin to worry about the poor doctor member of the crew of your soon to be sci-fi series…will he die? Of course. The only problem is when!!
Bad habits are tough to get rid of it !
    (hi,hi,hi)

  10. That picture with Lulu & Su is priceless! I suppose Su isn’t used to pets?

I would love those blueberries. Blueberry pancakes, blueberry bread, blueberry smoothies….mmm good! Those blueberry dog biscuits look pretty good too. I’d eat them.

Das: Finished reading “Book of the Dead” and now I know why Constance is so dangerous. Reading “Wheel of Darkness now”.

  11. After I googled poutine and takoyaki, all I can say is yum!! You need some of those delicious blueberries on that frozen yogurt also. And I am also betting that Akemi did her research before feeding the dogs anything, and knowing that blueberries will not hurt them, everything in moderation, which I would have trouble with at the beaverstand, hold me back! We don’t have this kind of thing here where I live and I thank you for sharing your fun with us.
..What did you do with all the blueberries??, another round of picture sharing,please..

  12. @ Tam Dixon – Not a big fan of Wheel of Darkness, so interested to see how you like it (I won’t say what didn’t work for me because it all may work very well for you!). However, I loved the next one, Cemetery Dance…it felt more like the first few books.
