  1. Yep, I got down to the “Square Eggs” video (I wasn’t playing them but I was believing every one) before I remembered it was April Fool’s Day. I’m chalking my slow up-take to jet lag 😀

And on jet set news, Barb and I made it home safely to Chicagoland tonight. But we’re dead-tired and trip-wired, so I have to go decompress. Good night y’all!

  2. Yep, you had me with the beer vid…I R soooooo gullible.
Best picture – is of your boy Maximus!
    Thanks for that.

  3. Google’s Pokemon Challenge sounds like a fun use of augmented reality technology. Someone should really do it!

The Smart Glove will happen one day.

Everything else was pretty lame. Maybe I just don’t get the whole April Fool’s thing.

  4. @Das

As I can see that you didn´t. Could You read the final comments of the day 30, the birthday of batman? Please. 🙁

  5. Awwww Maximus.. what a good boy. He’s dearly missed.

I’m so glad square chicken eggs aren’t real. Holy cow! The poor chickens who would lay those eggs. Ugh

I posted a pic of a gorilla-bird on a site saying it was squawking loudly and had woken me up. It has the head of a gorilla and body of a crow. Someone actually believed it was real. o.O So that happened yesterday.

  6. Hope everyone made through April fool’s day unfooled.
    ~Maximus was such a smiler and a cutie. {{{hugs }}}.miss his posts..

  7. We had the usual “Burning Man is cancelled” faux news, plus a new spin on fire spinning, solar powered poi.

  8. @Das:

Happy Anniversary! The Flintstones is probably the best send up! 🙂

@JeffW – Are you going to the last Stargate convention in Chicago in August?

The whole family is going and we’re already signed up. But I’m still trying to decide if I’m going to do something for the centerpiece contest or not…I have a pretty busy year ahead with the Corvette restoration, increased business travel, a conference paper due in September, weeks of travel to Savannah, Tampa, and stops in between. Whew! I’m getting over-whelmed just typing it!

Still, I’m looking forward to that weekend as a nice break before the busyness of the last half of the year sets in.

    @sylvia and Sparrow_hawk on Joe’s Japadog visit:

If we get Joe and Akemi to Chicago at some point, I think we should introduce them to a real Chicago-dog joint. Any nominations come to mind? I was thinking Portillo’s as a start:

  9. Thanks for sharing these! Gotta get me one of the cool sLablets. Sweet picture of Maximus.

  10. @last Stargate convention

I don’t like that naming. I’m certain it won’t be the last ever Stargate convention, especially if the series comes back at some point in the future. Perhaps I’m being a bit literal but still.

  11. <> Hugs buddy. We all miss you but I’m sure dad has a ton of stories he still has not told us about you. Happy Birthday! Hope heaven has an endless bowl of all your favorite treats.
