Feeling much better today. Was it the light dinner? The bromelain? The matcha white chocolate? I’m playing it safe today but going with all three.
Rain yesterday and now we’re into the deep freeze. People are being advised to shelter in place. Fortunately, I’ve got a little over 1500 pages to go on this book –
A spectacular book that truly meant to be savored over weeks, perhaps months, highlighting many sci-fi greats and more than a few underappreciated authors. In fact, this book has inspired me to embark on a new project – to seek out collected works of some of the lesser known science fiction writers of the past.
I do love me a massive tome.
Tinkering with a few comic book pitches. Fleshing out one, rewriting four others, and trying to come up with one more – preferably near future sci-fi. That’s my mission for this weekend.
Hope you are all happy, healthy, safe, and enjoying the holidays with loved ones. As I sit here watching Akemi and my mother make capunti, I leave you with another drop from the Stargate archives…
The Serpent’s Lair
In the Line of Duty
Prisoners
The Gamekeeper
Need
Thor’s Chariot
Message in a Bottle
Bane
Glad you’re feeling better.
Bromeliad? I take that as a supplement for my eyes.
I love reading new SF authors, but haven’t had a chance lately. Sometimes it won’t be well written but the concepts and creativity will be worth the read.
Awesome artwork!!!
Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah, Winter Solstice celebrations, and/or Happy Holidays to you and your entire family. Stay warm, healthy and safe.
All great artwork, my hats off to the concept illustrators.
I met Jeff and Anne VanderMeer when I was an English grad student as part of the program where writers visited Buffalo to speak with us, and also at the World Fantasy Conventions. They were cool, and so are their big books. I have one called “Wonderbook”. I also picked up the “Here Comes Civilization” William Tenn volume at a World Fantasy Convention.
Nice!
Merry Christmas, everyone! Happy Holidays! Joyous Saturnalia!
If you’re looking for anthologies, look up the series “Marion Zimmer Bradley’s Warrior Women”… some of the brightest ladies in fantasy and sci fi writing stories they do best.
