In case you missed it, our final Dark Matter Monday stream…

I know, I know.  Unlikely.  But just in case.

Today’s Yes/No…

I mean…I dunno.  At least crisp them up some.

In industry news…

Ding! Ding!  Disney and HBO Max have entered the ring!  I wonder how this may affect their subscription-based strategy.

No interest in seeing this movie, but I WOULD watch the hell out of this review series…

Huzzah!  A productive(ish) day!  I finally made some inroads on that sc-fi spy comedy series.  After weeks spent agonizing over what I wanted to change, I came to the conclusion that I didn’t want to change anything, was happy with what I had, and just moved forward with a description of our world and the introduction of three additional team members as well as our beleaguered handler.  In the next few days, I will (hopefully) follow up with a first season overview, a few episodic springboards, and a section devoted to tone and theme after which I will send it off, like a mathematical message sent out into deep space, never to be seen or heard from again.  I CANNOT wait!

Waiting for notes on the revised pitch for the epic comic book series adaptation, as well as a date for our second shot at that classic sci-fi series.  Tomorrow, it’s a strategy meeting on another project while I await news on TimEscape.  Sadly, the place we were going to pitch is a no-go as it would have meant working with a crook (I know, because I already worked with him), so we’re redirecting focus to hopefully more honest pastures.

So, those of you who have returned to your post-pandemic routine (or are in the process of doing so), how are you finding it?

  1. We dropped Netflix for a little bit this year to justify having HBO Max and my husband said something about the way they treat their workers. But we’ve picked it back up again and dropped HBO Max for Disney +. We intend to surf 2-3 streaming channels at a time and drop things to pick up other things and also plan to be petty and drop things when companies do egregiously woke stuff they wouldn’t get away with if they were smaller.

  2. Turkey… That’s so gross. “Crisp them up some”? Oh Joe!!

As the Covid-19 rates are rising again, I’m still in ultra cautious mode. Since Pfizer is saying I need a booster shot, which gives me reason to doubt their vaccine long term effectiveness (or maybe they just want to make even more money than they are from this deal), and those who have not been vaccinated stopped wearing their masks, I look at everyone like a big fat germ. Lucky I’m an introvert too!

    Elle est bonne!

“Give me a hug…2 minutes later…Give me an other…OH, by the way…let me give you a hug…” etc. etc.

  5. I understand that there are so many companies vying for subscribers, that people are getting way too many options. It seems a consolidation will eventually occur, where streamers will want a subscription service similar to the cable TV companies.

Have you ever seen Contact? Future aliens will be waiting for that first episode, you know!

Having been fully vaccinated I do not intend to change my routine that much. I went to my dentist a while ago and have a doctor’s appointment booked and feel a little freer to see fully vaccinated people now, but I am going to be very cautious for sometime.
