Well there it is, the promised announcement of that fantasy series adaptation I’ve been cryptically referring to for months now.  Very much looking forward to collaborating with author Brian McLellan, Frantic Films, and the amazing J.B. Sugar on this one.  As I told Brian, it’s going to be a blast!

  1. Congratulations! Looking forward … But first, I gotta read those books. 🙂

  2. Hi Joe
    Very, very, nice!

  3. Congratulations Joe!!! This sounds so exciting. I only hope it is broadcast on a channel that I get. When the write-up said it will feature “epic battles” and “shocking betrayals”, I thought, well Joe is certainly good at that. For shocking betrayals Joe is your man! Dark Matter had one that made my jaw drop and was beautifully filmed. Now go and work your casting magic! Congrats again!

  4. Congratulations on your new project.

  5. Congratulation!!

  6. Congrats, Joe. That’s wonderful news!
    Have fun.

Hope J.B’s beautiful furs baby doing well.
It’d be nice if he could link up some new 4 legged companion pics
for you to post on the blog while ya’ll work on the new project.

  7. Congrats, Joe! I haven’t heard of these books. I will definitely give them a read. I’m keen to hear your thoughts about the differences between writing your own original series and adapting a series from existing stories written by someone else.

So, is this a series pickup? A greenlit pilot? Or you’re still shopping for money and a network?

  9. I haven’t read that series but I will now! Thanks for bringing cheer to 2021.

This new vaccine should be a game changer for filming, yes? Once, they have enough doses, that is.

I hope everyone has a great friday!

  10. Nice! May have missed it, but on what platform is this going to air?

Still too early in the process to announce a broadcaster.

  11. So cool! Congratulations, Joe. I look forward to watching this, and in the meantime I know what books to put in my reading queue.

  12. Congratulations Joe that’s great news!! Looks like a blast, can’t wait to see it!

  13. That’s fantastic news. Congratulations! I haven’t heard about this genre so I’ll be interested to see what it is about as you can share and then we can see.
