These were my favorites…
Amazing Spider-Man: Red Goblin (cover art by Alex Ross)
Aphrodite V #3 (cover art by Jeff Spokes)
FutureQuake vol. 25 (cover art by Conor Boyle, Bruno Stahl)
Mister Miracle #11 (cover art by Nick Derington)
Multiple Man #4 (cover art by Marcos Martin)
Nightwing #49 (cover art by Dave McCaig, Mike Perkins)
September Mourning vol. 1 (cover art by Marc Silvestri)
Seven To Eternity #11 (cover art by Bengal, Matt Hollingsworth, Jerome Opena)
Star Wars: Lando – Double Or Nothing #5 (cover art by W. Scott Forbes)
So, which were YOUR favorites?
Aphrodite V reminds me of…
Who else is excited about the Battle Angel movie??
Seven to Eternity
The Future Quake is a nice tribute to Jack Vettriano’s Mad Dogs, but the logo is meh. Great mood, though, with the planet in the back, and all.
Seven to Eternity is pretty nice, borrow all the efficient stuff from the ’70s scifi poster designs and the pulp comics and novels cover illustrations from the ’40s ’60s. I like it. Nice design work
Lando’s got a very nice compo, it’s smart.
Alex Ross’s Spiderman one is a bit messy, but well… That wouldn’t be Alex Ross, otherwise. 😀
Still and always strong, anyway.
FutureQuake, most assuredly.
September Mourning is cool for the horror element.
Seven to Eternity is cool because it reminds me of 60’s spaghetti western movie posters.
I agree, ‘FutureQuake’ is a nod to Vettriano. Nice. ‘Seven to Eternity’ has that 1950’s movie poster look to it. Yep. I’m going with that one!
I must be really missing Dark Matter though, as ‘Aphrodite V’ sure looks like our not so friendly android Wendy and what? Lando has the Blink drive now?!
First thing I thought of when I saw the Seven To Eternity cover
-> The wicked witches flying monkey soldiers in the original Wizard of Oz movie with Judy Garland.
Gosh, I loved watching that movie over and over again, growing up!
It never got old.
I , on the other hand, unfortunately, eventually, … did.
The Future Quake cover reminds me of a dream I experienced in my youth
about walking along the beach, at shoreline, on another world, somewhere in time.
I kept hearing a faint echo in the light breeze whispering lovely sounding words in a language
I could never hope to comprehend.
I see SG-1 influenced the Aphrodite V cover
Gotta go with FutureQuake, I will sadly never be an intergalactic bounty hunter but I totally plan to stroll on a galactic beach someday. I’m totally next in line for Elon Musk’s tourist in space program. I love the throwback goodness of Seven to Eternity, this is exactly the kind of book my sis would have read to us as kids on a summer afternoon.
Aphrodite V. & September Mourning
It’s hard to pick one but I’ll go with FutureQuake,
Waves to Quantum Mechanic!
Luna is a real cutie Jimfromjersey!
It is so hot here (heat index 103). I am melting. I shouldn’t complain too much, at least we weren’t damaged by Florence. 🙁
Big plans for the weekend anyone?
Drea, thank you so much!
