August 10, 2017: Dark Matter!

Well, would you look at this.  I came across the series overview I put together for the show, way back when.  And, hey, check it out!  There’s an actual ending we’re working towards!  A real honest to goodness ending that pays it all off and wraps it all up!

TV, eh?’s Greg David previews this Friday nights’ episode of Dark Matter

“Credit to Dark Matter co-creators Joseph Mallozzi and Paul Mullie for continuing to up the ante when it comes to jaw-dropping episodes this season. Just when I didn’t think the series could generate any more shocks it does.”

Veronica Scott of Amazing Stories chat’s with Dark Matter’s THREE, Anthony Lemke:

“We discussed the idea that currently movies tend to be about the spectacle and the effects, whereas television shows like Dark Matter can take more time to allow the characters to unfold and reward the viewers’  time investment. Anthony compared watching a television series to reading a novel, where you can “go back and back again” and at the end of the novel, “you miss the people.”

I talk season 3 and beyond with Telfie Buzz:

“There is definitely a 5-year plan for the show. If season 1 was Secrets and Surprises, and season 2 was Risks and Redemption, and season 3 is Victories and Vengeances, season 4 will be Androids and Aliens. And you can’t get any more sci-fi than that. As for season 5 – which, if everything works out, should be the show’s final 13-episode installment – I have a plan to tie up all the storylines. I even have the show’s final sequence in my head.”

  1. OMG ! My heart stoped for a moment seing the words “The end” Don’t ever do that again 😉

  2. Which crew members succeed in turning their lives around and which ones return to the dark side??? That’s what I want to know. Can there be a happy ending? And is a happy ending considered just surviving? I’m so afraid that the death toll for the Raza crew is far from over. I initially had in my head who would survive & who would die…now I’m not so sure!

Thanks for all the links! And the photos! You know I like photos. Ramping up for tomorrow night. Gonna be trying for one of those giveaways!! Unfortunately I tend to over think things and am a slow typist. I’m @PeaceMel on twitter.

  3. Could you maybe make that a six or seven year plan? It’d be much appreciated.
And I am unanimous in that.

  4. Goooooood Grief…please not more “the end” kind of messages especially at this very sensitive time waiting for SYFY to do the right thing.

I’m old and on the verge of cardiac arrest – and seeing those words made my blood run cold and almost STOP.
Don’t do that no more. Please!
    whew….

    1. I know, right? I saw The End too and was shouting “No, not yet!!” Then I read on…

Joe, I agree with everyone. We are a greedy bunch and want more than 5 Seasons. Think of those poor starving actors. Anthony is building a mini-theater & has 3 children, Alex has a little new one too, Jodelle has more cosplay costumes to fabricate, Melissa & Zoie have puppies to feed, places to travel to and then there’s that second home in Japan you are considering….I’m just saying.

  5. I know that TV shows have budgets, but I wish Dark Matter would never end. There is so much to explore! We don’t even know how big the Dark Matter universe is, and we don’t really know how far civilization has advanced. We have an idea, but it’s a tiny snapshot. I have convinced a few friends to start watching Dark Matter, and when they asked me what I liked so much about it, I said: “It’s about people on a ship!”, as if the ship itself was a character. I had actually found Dark Matter after I finished the Mass Effect Trilogy for the first time (this year!). I was craving to continue Commander Shepard’s journey, and I saw Two as my Commander Shepard. The Raza has replaced the Normandy as my favorite space ship, in fact. But not only is Two beautiful and fierce, every single female character on this show is beautiful and fierce in their own way. (Thank you! *cry face*) I love space adventures! I guess after Season 5 (knock on wood) I will have to continue the adventures in my head! 🙂

  6. I’ve found that I really REALLY prefer BINGE watching shows, that has 7 – yes 7! seasons.
So there – something to think about Joe! 😛

  7. Woke up this morning and as I do every morning, fumbled to put my specs on, still laying horizontal in bed, I reach for my smart phone and search for this blog.

    ‘The End’

    Aargh?!!! Wha’ the …?
    DON’T DO THAT! 😠
    (Better than any alarm call!)

  8. Christie: The Mass Effect video game was insane. I unlocked (under my husband’s user name) all the achievements except for 1. The one was been illusive for me to this day. It was hard for me to accept the new series Andromeda but by the end of the game I loved it only to find out they don’t plan to do a sequel because it didn’t do well. People wanted Shepard back.
