Well, as promised, today is the day YOU get to help choose a new Dark Matter episode title. For those of you not-in-the-know, Dark Matter fans have helped select the names of every season 2 episode to date. To date, these have been your choices:
“Episode 14: Welcome To Your New Home”
“Episode 15: Kill Them All”
“Episode 16: I’ve Seen The Other Side Of You”
“Episode 17: We Were Family”
“Episode 18: We Voted Not To Space You”
“Episode 19: We Should Have Seen This Coming”
“Episode 20: She’s One Of Them Now”
“Episode 21: Stuff to Steal, People to Kill”
And, today, we move on to Episode 209 (“Episode 22”). The nominees are:
The polls are open for the next 24 hours. Cast your vote!
Looks like we’ve got a lockdown situation, courtesy of the Art Department’s Sumeet Vat.
Voted!
Voted! Great title selection that is also very contradictory in meaning between them. A station on lockdown can only mean one thing, #2BOSS is kicking some serious butt somewhere on that station!
Voted. Chose differently than I have been recently, as I am on a down slide with choosing winners. We’ll see how this one goes!
I voted “The New You”, both because it is short and catchy, and second because it reminds me of that shop in the movie “Logan’s Run”, where people could get a complete (and I mean complete) makeover. Or alternatively, wind up dead.
Here’s a few pics from my trip to the GC! I’ll only post a few at a time so it doesn’t make for hugely long blog page loads.
Here’s the start of the “trail” (an unofficial and unmaintained route, really) that we descended down to the river. Yes, going back and forth on those little ledges was the footway. The first point to take a rest was that little flatter saddle like area you see in the distance.

The hill you see in the foreground is the final descent to the river. It looks steep in the picture and… it really was! Downright scary, really.

We finally got to the river! But, then we had to climb back up :O That actually went faster because the footing (loose and sliding rock) was so bad on the way down.

I’ll post some more tomorrow!
Voted….love your allowing us to participate..cool!
For Dragoncon 2016 …I took another look at their guest list
3 – Anthony
5 – Jodelle
6 – Roger
Android – Joie
everyone already asked great questions.
looking forward to the replies.
Gforce: Beautiful! However, you and I have a different definition of “Trail”. 🙂
I’m not sure of which one to vote for yet. I’ll think on it.
@Tam Dixon: Even *I* wouldn’t call that a trail! 🙂
@ Drea – Awesome news! So happy to put up with you for as long as we can! I hope you celebrated in some way. A chocolate something… 🙂 Malt? mmmmm. Maybe I should have one in your honor. mmmmmm
@ gforce – Wow! You take THE BEST pictures. I’m with Tam on this one…. what trail?? 🙂
I’m gonna have to study those choices before voting. These are harder and I’ve only missed one, so don’t want to mess it up.
@ maggiemayday – Oh no! I pray they get you fixed up this time. We’ll be waiting to hear from you.
@ JeffW – It’s your birthday? Again? Well, glad you keep having them. Hope it was nice.
Voted – very interesting!
@gforce: love the pics! I’d kill myself on that “supposed” trail.
@slyvia: thanks for the Dragon Con update. I am definitely going this year.
Happy Hump Day! So ready for the weekend. Work has really kicked my behind this week but nothing I imagine like Joe’s week!
Voted!
I can also hear a klaxon going off as the lockdown is initiated! How will it end?

Four of the main cast of exciting new Canadian sci-fi series Dark Matter – Melissa O’Neil, Jodelle Ferland, Roger Cross and Zoie Palmer – will be among the guests attending MCM London Comic Con this May.
To meet four of our beloved crew – awesome!
And, get their autographs on the script – wow!
But……sadly, a lack of funds is preventing me from attending – gutted! 😔
@GFORCE
Wicked pics! – Although, I’m surprised that People are allowed to use those “trails” at this time of year. Considering Spring thaw FLASH Floodings and the obvious looking rock SLIDES!
hmm…BTW, did you spot any wayward GORNS? [INSERT: some CLASSIC TREK soundtrack…]
😀
@Drea – Fantastic news!!!!!!! That made me smile. 😊 see?
@maggiemayday – wishing you all the best for your surgery.
@jeffw – belated birthday wishes
@gforce – stunning photos… gorgeous scenery… You’re brave.
Cheers, Chev
Intriguing titles Joe. I like trying to imagine which character would say the line. The first 2 sound like Three, the third perhaps One?
Anyway, I did vote… Keeping this one to myself… For now.
Cheers, Chev
Great pics @gforce!
I voted Going Out Fighting. That and This Isn’t Going To Be An Easy Smash And Grab seemed appropriate after Stuff to Steal, People to Kill.
gforce… beautiful pictures. Which point of entry were you at? A couple years ago we went into Toroweap, the primitive north edge of the GC. We didn’t hike, but standing at the edge with no railings, ropes or chains between us the the river 3000 feet below … amazing. If I knew how to post pictures…
Ponytail… thank you for the good wishes. I’m hoping this is it too, but realistically, there may be one more later this year. I’ve got a lot going on inside. Buwhahahahaaa… gah.
This was one of the hardest one for me to vote on, and I settled on Going out Fighting.
@Gforce – I have to agree with Tam Dixon – “you and I have a different definition of “Trail”.” You were definitely rewarded with some stunning pictures.
Yasssssou! 🙂
Voted.
They were all good so just picked one at random. Gary’s right though – ‘The New You’ instantly made me think of Logans Run and Farah Faucett!
And thanks all. <3 Yes, Am definitely relieved. Celebrated with cherry ice cream and a variety of chocolate treats, chased with a couple cognacs later in the eve. 🙂
@MaggieMayDay Did they give you a date on the hernia surgery yet?? Are they still thinking not until September or October.?
@Gary Definitely gorgeous photos albeit I think your friends must have been punking you when they told you it was a hiking trip.
They were secretly training you for an episode of survivor when they decided to journey to the river via that short unstable ledging.
I tend to be fairly adventurous when it comes to hiking mountains and cliffs – but even "I" would not have been foolish enough to take that dangerous path!
@Ganymede: Actually flash flooding only occurs in the drainages and washes in the Canyon, this was definitely neither of those! We DID however see a flash flood right in the middle of Vegas!
@Maggiemayday: We hiked down the Grandview Trail from the South Rim, and stayed two nights at Cottonwood Creek and one night on Horseshoe Mesa. The day hike with the pictures was our “free” day between our two nights at Cottonwood.
@Drea: It was actually me that took *them* on the hike! They were up for it though. It was a great hike, but that day hike was indeed challenging.
