May 12, 2015: Who’s Ready For Some Ship-based Sf?! A Dark Matter Sneak Peek! News! Behind The Scene Pics!Hey, Canadians!  We finally have an air date!  Dark Matter premieres Friday, June 12th at 10:00 p.m. on Space Channel.

Other Dark Matter premiere dates:

U.S.: Friday, June 12th at 10:00 p.m. on SyFy

Germany: Saturday, June 13th on SyFy Germany

U.K.: Monday, June 15th at 8:00 p.m. on SyFy UK

France: Monday, June 15th at 9:00 p.m. on SyFy France

Spain: Monday, June 15th on SyFy Spain

Ever closer!  Excited?  We sure are!  Yesterday, I attended the mix for #101 and got the chance to watch the near-finished episode on the big screen.  It looked like a feature film – gorgeous, riveting, with dazzling visual effects.  I can’t wait for you to see it.

Probably sooner than later as we’re making plans to offer up a sneak peek of our first episode in the coming week.  Our first teaser trailer was fantastic (https://youtu.be/1TqwBlTQfTg – 151k+ views and counting, thanks!) despite the fact that contained no visual effects.  The scene I have in mind, however, will highlight what you all can look forward to in the months to come: action, adventure, kick-ass visuals, and humor!  Stay tuned.

  1. Great that the show will be on just a couple of days apart …not months apart in different countries

  2. Who’s ready for ship-based sci-fi? I AM!

Argh! It pains me not being able to see that video. PAINS ME. 🙂

Only a month away to the premiere. It’s so exciting!

Those poor guns – they look so tired! I bet they had a busy, busy day.

  3. I am so excited Joe!!!!! The ship looks fantastic. I’m looking forward to it showing up on iTunes with episodes showing up the next day. Good for multiple viewings……without commercials. lol

  4. For what it’s worth, a scifi con manager I met last month said the Australian DM premiere was scheduled for June 27.

  5. Panagiotis…I’m not an expert, but the locking is probably due to contractual obligations and copyright law.

  6. The sneak peak is amazing! Can’t wait to see more!

“We’re about to enter orbit, I suggest you wear pants!”

  7. I could watch the sneak peak,(my computer video stops and starts,so guessing I am lucky it worked.) cool, looking more forward to the show, thanks..Sail on !!!

  8. Loved the trailer! The feed from SyFy was a little choppy though.

So is Roger targeting Elliott and E.T. for weapons lock?

  9. Oh man Joe, that sneak peek is awesome!!!! I LOVE all the characters already!! Excuse me… I’ve got to go watch it again… and again… and again…!!!!!

  10. So if ONE is the “fish out of water” and has no skill sets and can’t really do anything, why is he dangerous?????

thank you for your information, but if it’s so why the trailer was released free?

  12. The sneak peek was fantastic! I posted a link on Facebook and hope it works. So is the changing artwork

@Ponytail: even average people can be dangerous. Or maybe the poor guy was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Oooorrrrr it could be that his particular skill-set hasn’t come into play yet. 😀

  13. Dang it. I started editing my comment then forgot I was doing it when I went to warm up my baked steel-cut oats and almonds for breakfast. Great recipe. Excellent warm and even better cold or reheated for subsequent breakfasts.

So what I was going to ask is this: is the changing artwork going to be a feature of the mess hall? If the ship is an actual character, I suppose the mess-hall art could be an expression is the ship’s personality and mood. Or the quirks of the directors and producers. But that’s okay. I can wait and see what happens once the show starts.

  14. @Ponytail – If ONE can’t do anything and is the defacto leader, that sounds dangerous to me. I’ve seen the type of person who is incompetent in everything but worming his way into leadership and the apparent amicability chills me to the bone.

  15. Loved the sneak peek! You did good/solid presentation and the cast seems interesting and likable. You should definitely plan a season 2.

Are you packing up? Hope the trip with the pups goes well! Is JeffW going to help this time? We would appreciate pictures! 😉

My kitty is hanging in there but still sickly. He’s lost down to 17lbs (from 26). He has a big frame and looks a little gaunt. However, he’s eating and drinking well. We have a fence in our back yard now and I’ve been letting him explore. He loves it! I check on him frequently and it lifts my heart to see him stalking a bird (the bird is safe, he’s pretty slow 😉 ) or lying in the sun. I’ll have to take him in for more tests. The vet and I have been talking, we think he might have an intestinal mass. 🙁 I wish we could keep them young and healthy forever…

  16. Dallas Marshall: Thanks Mrs. Tigercat, it’s always tough watching the circle of life. 🙁

  17. formerly known as for the love of Beckett. Won’t forget Carson or Stargate Atlantis. Time to move on to the new show. 🙂

Love the intro to Dark Matter! The actors really did nail those characters. Is it June yet?????

  18. Woah, that was fun to watch! The ship looks great 🙂 Also, very nice to hear the cast talk about their characters.
