It all comes down to this. Choose…

I’m going with Carter. You?
Next up, we’ll be selecting our Science Officer so I have a feeling that whoever loses out there may still end up a part of the crew.
And another 2025 Crime Read recommendation brings my list of recommended titles up to 41 (out of 380 books)…
They All Fall the Same by Wes Browne
Depending on how busy I am next year, I’m thinking of keeping up my torrid reading pace, but switching from crime to the sci-fi genre. What do you think?
An organized crime boss in Kentucky believes money and power are everything until his enterprise collides with a family tragedy.
My hapless Snow Monkeys may see their season come to a premature end this weekend in fantasy football play. If they can survive this week, they have another must-win game next week…and then must rely on one of the teams ahead of us losing out in order to capture that final playoff spot. It would truly be a Christmas miracle.

Carter
Sam all the way!
Spock. I think Carter would make a better science officer.
Yeah, go for SciFi
Spock, as I think Carter would make a better science officer.
Well, Sam, sure.
Much as I love Sam, I gotta agree with the Spock and Sam as science officer option as others have said.
I’ve been travelling. Hopefully it’s not too late to cast my very important vote. I know you’ve been waiting for me, Joe!
I’m voting for Carter. A large part of a 2IC’s role is people management. They handle the duty rosters and deal with any disciplinary issues. This requires a lot of empathy, something Spock is sorely lacking. Sometimes logic doesn’t cut it when dealing with people . . . especially volatile humans! I think Carter would be excellent at it.
Sorry Spock. See you in the next round!
Carter!!!!
