My thoughts: Another one of my very favorite movies. One of filmdom’s most shocking final twists.
Film #16: Sympathy for Lady Vengeance (2005)
After being wrongfully imprisoned for thirteen years and having her child taken away from her, a woman seeks revenge through increasingly brutal means.
My thoughts: The narrative feels a little diffuse and the end result feels decidedly lesser than its predecessors.
Film #17: Ballerina (2023)
Grieving the loss of a best friend she couldn’t protect, an ex-bodyguard sets out to fulfill her dear friend’s last wish: sweet revenge.
My thoughts: A fairly straight-forward but no less satisfying revenge thriller.
