Spent a couple of hours today getting this message out to Stargate fandom:

February 22, 2018: Spreading The Word On The Stargatenow Front! Those Oscar-nominated Live-action Shorts!

The point is you don’t have to bother with writing letters or making phone calls or spending money on this or that.  Just hop on over to twitter and join the cause because we WILL be heard.  I guarantee it.

February 22, 2018: Spreading The Word On The Stargatenow Front! Those Oscar-nominated Live-action Shorts!

Hit up about 30 sites this afternoon.  Got another 50 or so to go.  But I’ll save those for tomorrow.  Give me something to look forward to.

In addition to my Stargate Now-related duties, I also completed my revision of that scifi pilot script.  Honestly, what other career requires you to pen an interfaith sermon one day and then choke out a belligerent civilian the next?  Good times, good times.

Also, met up with Ivon Bartok today and took in a matinee of the Oscar-nominated live-action shorts.  They were all great but two really stood out for me.  The Silent Child, written by Rachel Shenton and directed by Chris Overton, is an utterly devastating story of  the challenges facing a young deaf child in a  system incapable of meeting her needs.  The Eleven O’Clock, on the other hand, written by Josh Lawson and directed by Derin Seale, is a very clever, incredibly funny short that focuses on a psychiatrist’s attempts to treat a delusional patient who believes he’s a psychiatrist.  Check them out if you get the chance.

Alright!  Get out there and keep spreading the word.  As this campaign gains strength, we’ll reveal our grand plan for Stargate’s triumphant return (hint: YOU have a lot to do with it!)

  1. I can’t wait for us to achieve greatness together! Stargate TO NEW HIGHS!

  2. I recently watched this short called FTL about the first manned faster than light flight it was first on vimeo but just last week they posted it on YouTube it doesn’t have much diolouge but it’s got some really superb visual effects.

  3. Re-watching Atlantis for probably the 10th time, wondering what happened to… https://i.imgur.com/M38nfNg.png

There’s too many stories still left to tell!
    – What happened to the Pegasus Asgard?
    – Who were the furlings?
    – Is Atlantis still on earth?
    – Will the crew of the Destiny ever wake up?

LET THE CAMPAIGN FOR THE RETURN OF TIER-ONE SCIFI STORYTELLING BEGIN!

  4. I’ve been sharing and surprised by people I didn’t know were Stargate fans. Small world.

We’re heading to Hot Springs this weekend to visit family/friends. I hope everyone has a great weekend!

  5. This is awesome. I can’t wait until the tweetstorms start! Jail, here we come! 🙂

I can’t really find those shorts online or anywhere, probably not available yet (or maybe ever.). I did see the trailer for The Eleven O’Clock and it does look good.
