May 26, 2017: 2 Weeks To The Dark Matter Double-episode Season 3 Premiere!

I can hardly believe that we’re only two weeks away from Dark Matter’s double episode premiere.  It doesn’t feel that long ago that we were in the writers’ room, fruitlessly spinning our wheels in an attempt to gain creative traction on stories for the show’s third season.  Not that long ago that I sat down to write episode 304 (“All The Time In the World”) armed with nothing but a vague notion of a story – and a very definite deadline.  No, not that long ago at all that I received news that forced me scuttle a planned story and come up with a totally crazy script for episode 309 (“Isn’t That A Paradox?”).  And yet, here we are!

So, what lies ahead for our crew of badass mercenaries?  Well, this –

  1. Two weeks? Time is flying!

Gforce: You’re retiring too? That’s great! You’re young enough and healthy enough, to make the most of it. I know someone that recently had to retire (his family sold the company). He was dreading it too but now, he’s traveling a bit. This week, he’s in Russia looking to expand a helicopter business he bought into. He’s having a blast! I’m enjoying his pictures and history lessons on Russia too.

    Alex’s buddy, Bo is adorable!

    Have a great Holiday weekend!

  2. Binge watching last two seasons in anticipation. Also, I see you’ve read The Lions of Al-Rassan, which still makes me cry just to think about. Have you read Kay’s Fionavar Tapestry trilogy as well?

  3. Tash, Wexler, Anders! Ryo! Let the carnage begin! I hope Anders is an ally this season! Counting down the days. Now I need to work on those darn photos of doggies!

  4. Less than two weeks now! Those three characters are a triumvirate of awesomeness! I really do hope that Lt. Anders/Jeff Teravainen becomes a more frequent character.

Feeling quite a bit better today, so I think my bug has finally left, or at least on the way out the door.

  5. @Tam Dixon: Yep, I’m planning on it too. I will miss seeing the people I work with everyday most of all, but the reality is I’ll see those who I really want to outside of there anyway. After 32 years in the same place, I’m ready for a change. I’m not really the type to sit around and do nothing, anyway!

  6. @gforce Wow, 32 years. I thought being my former employer for 23 years was longer than average.

I love that some of our favorite characters are coming back. No one ever dies in sci-fi.

I forgot to say in my reply to yesterday’s post, I think Suji on Dark Matter would be fabulous. She’s a natural.
