I need episode titles for Dark Matter’s third season. And, next to waking up early and looking for parking, there’s nothing I hate more than coming up with episode titles. So, this is where YOU come in. Below are three potential choices for our season 3 premiere – the episode where we find out if almost everyone died in the explosion on the EOS-7 space station.

After getting home from work last night, I ate dinner, then wrote five pages of my latest script, watched auditions and made selections for Episode 306, and watched and gave notes on the Episode 301 and 304 cuts. An early start to the day has me feeling a little…logey. You know what I need? Some really boozy mini rum cakes. Well, guess what Akemi made today?
Apparently, they were so boozy that she couldn’t eat them. I plan on eating two of them when I get home tonight and sleeping for 12 hours straight!
Today, Akemi sent me this. It’s a Buzzfeed video featuring rescue dogs. And, at the 20 second mark, you’ll find our Suji eating peanut butter!
Buzzfeed contacted Akemi about using the video last month and she couldn’t have been happier.
Check it out. Over 1 million views. Suji is famous! I’m going to see if I can get her for a guest spot on Dark Matter!

I remember having a hard time remembering what I voted for when the time came for the episodes to air, so this time I’m making a list!

Given my preference for short titles, I of course picked “Welcome Back”. Which of course, is losing. C’mon people, brevity is the soul of wit, and all that! 🙂
Those rum cakes look great, and if they help you sleep 12 hours straight send some down this way! I can’t even imagine sleeping that long anymore. When I get a good solid 5 hours lately, (which is pretty frequent now, thankfully) I think I’m doing well!

I had about a 90% success rate at picking titles last year. I don’t think I can do that again. Those 3 are all good. I’m scared. Okay, well, here goes nothing….

I agree with gforce, brevity is a Good Thing. So I’m in the minority with Welcome Back too. Seems fitting for a season opener.

We met a darling pug-griffin mix in Maui, tiny black beauty cutie of a doggie. She was all over Larry, and loved his beard, nom nom nom. I have the video posted on FB, but don’t know how to share it past that.

I agree with @ceresis, voting means we are that much closer to S3. I also agree with @gforce, I chose Welcome Back, for its brevity and because I wanted to welcome back the Raza crew for a rip, roaring S3.

I am with gforce and maggiemayday about brevity plus “Welcome Back” just seems to fit well for the start of a new season. Suji is definitely a star. Having two older dogs of my own, am really glad she now has such a happy life. She couldn’t ask for better “doggie parents” than you and Akemi.
🙁 Corneal abrasions are curl in a fetal position and wail type pain. Dogs have as many pain receptors in their eyes as we do. Getting them cared for is the humane thing. Poor girl, she’s had a hard time… she deserves a break.

Lucy has a new thing she does. She’s discovered that she can open cabinet doors. So every morning I walk into the bathroom (sometimes throughout the day) and every cabinet door is open. It’s an open system too, so that means all the drawers are pulled out too. Lucy is a fun cat.

For the record I opted for “Being Better is So Much Harder” because I can picture in my mind seeing Three saying it.
I thought those were candied corn on the cob at first glance, but rum cake is much better, so jealous! I even have a orange cranberry muffin on my desk and I’m still wishing I had those rum cakes!
Suji’s story of being discovered in a barn, rescued by kindly strangers and whisked off to life of luxurious naps and mingling with celebs is the stuff of telenovelas and Disney princess movies. What a little cute face, no wonder she’s conquering the world.
I would have gone for “Raise Your Hand If You’re Still Alive” for the S3 premiere title, but that’s just me. 😛
@maggiemayday Maui sounds lovely. That must have been quite the shock coming home to the weather you did. We were supposed to go to Kauai for our honeymoon but something happened that prevented that. Long story. Hopefully we’ll get there before I die.
