This entry marks ten straight years of uninterrupted daily blogging.  I celebrated today by going in to work!

November 24, 2016: Dark Matter Season 3 – Day 5 Of 91!

The only thing Akemi loves more than baking is baking for the Dark Matter crew.  This morning, it was breakfast rum cake with butter rum glaze.

After wrap, I walk the empty set to pick up all the cool stuff the cast and crew leave behind.  Today, I found a three dollars in change, a slightly used pair of size 8 Puma’s, and this futuristic albeit counter-intuitive can opener.

  1. Congratulations, Joe, on your incredible ten straight years of uninterrupted daily blogging! Absolutely amazing!
And WOW, Akemi! What an incredible breakfast treat! I’m so envious of the crew! What a stellar team you two make!

  2. I love the suit (especially the scooter-links), but why that oh-so-somber expression? Then again, whatever you’re drinking (?) out that that weird glass looks like it could definitely give you… that expression.

That breakfast rum cake looks delicious! *wants*

Also, what happened to the missing days back in Nov. 2006? I think you should go back and fill them in.

  3. Hi Joe
Congrats on a well filled 10 years of blogging. You wouldn’t have had me sticking around, nearly daily (missing 5 days due to stroke), for 8 years if it wasn’t interesting.

    Thank you, Sir.

  4. That breakfast cakes looks incredible!

    Love the cat socks!

    Happy Thanksgiving!

  5. Happy Thanksgiving to all the American blog readers! Hope your day was filled with family and food and good times. I was a very good girl today, didn’t overeat skipping appetizers and only had two pieces of the desserts. I have my annual physical tomorrow and I want to make sure my weight is where I want it to be.

Happy ten years of blogging every single day Joe! Woo hoo!

What’s this about the second to last installment of Joe’s fashion corner? Tired of taking pictures of yourself every day already?? Maybe you just need one blog post dedicated to a shot of all your accessories, so we can see them all at once. LOL

  6. Breakfast Rum Cake!! What a way to begin the day!

First blocking! So excited! What other surprises will you find on set this season? Can’t wait to find out.

Manners maketh man…or is that the suit that makes the man?

  7. G’morning beautiful blog family. Fell asleep last night. Yay! slept 8 hrs for a nice change of pace. (had been suffering from insomnia).

Ok Joe: Here is second to last clue before the reveal next Wednesday.

Clue #9 Part of this gift allows you to be an educator and distribute in a wider, albeit all at once more concentrated, spectrum -the wealth of your many diverse experiences in the Art & Science of creating a television production from start to finish.

This gift is truly just as much a gift for our entire blog family as it is for you.
For it is our most beautiful loving, loyal, family, all of us together, in blissful, and sometimes blistering, concert that has helped this blog become the always warm wonderful forever inviting home it is today.
Although I often joke & tease… I really do love you guys with all my heart n soul
And always so much more than any words could ever say. XO

  8. Congrats again, keeping a blog up and running on a daily basis for such a long time really is an achievement worth looking back to.

And I’m very excited to experience your progress running Dark Matter first hand. An intriguing setup offering lots of possibilities for future story development, so let’s hope it stays on for more years to come.

BTW Wanna guess what name we gave our Tesla Model S? Hint, hint… … Quite funny, we call the user interface (and Tesla mobile phone app) “Android”, so when we approach the gate to our estate I always shout out loud “Android, open the gate!” (although that’s not necessary, the Tesla opens the gate automatically anyway). 😉

  9. You look fantastic… but the rum cake was cruelty. Yum!
As others have said, thank you for 10 years of blogging. I remember how sad I was when you said you were considering stopping. I rather like to hold onto the few consistencies in my life, your blog being one of them. Love the dogs, food, Akemi, your family, work, writing, and the feeling of you checking in and sharing. Thank you.

  10. Breakfast rum cake #nomnom

The ‘not clock’ is cool 😎
How long did this blocking take to complete?

    @Drea Mm….still think it’s something to do with writing/book.
A personalised book, with a collection of photographs, posts and comments from Joe’s blog about either the pups (all of them), food (the many and various choices) or everything to do with writing?

  11. Oooooo ….. can’t take my eyes off that breakfast rum cake with rum butter glaze!
    It’s haunting me …….

  12. I want that not-a-clock to convert it back into a-clock. Spent the holiday watching the Redskins kick like babies and fall over each other. And my nieces performed a gruesome yet accurate Thanksgiving play in which a turkey was shot and dragged off stage and then back on stage to have its guts ripped out. I watched so many hours of Teen Titans that I know the booty scoot song by heart.

  13. I think you may have solved your catering dilemma. Just let Akemi do it! Looks like a delicious way to start the day.

Congratulations on your 10 years of continuous blogging. Patrick had a message for you, but I accidentally deleted it and he’s too much in pain right now for me to post anything.

Love the ensemble. You must need a full apartment to hold all your clothing.
