  1. Hewletts involvement with any episode automatically makes that episode more awesome. More Tabor is only a good thing 🙂

  2. All the teaser clips are great 👍
    Who’s she?
    Who’s them?
    Plus…..a shock ending!

And I’ve got to wait until Monday – argh!

  3. To make the wait until Monday’s UK airing less stressful, please say the next contest is to win a cast signed script for this episode!
We’re talking David Hewlett as Tabor Calchek #makemyday 😊

  4. Hi Joe
Another fine mess you’ve got the crew stuck in, Joe. How are you gonna get them out of this one?

    Elminster

P.S. Keeps getting better and better!!

  5. GREAT episode! Nice to learn more about the doc…but without giving away any spoilers…me thinks there is even more to learn!

  6. It’s 12:31 a.m. and I have to get up at 5:45 to go pet sit, so I’ll be watching Dark Matter some time tomorrow. Patrick goes back to school on Monday (the crowd goes wild). However, we are once again worried. He had started eating again, but now he is not and he’s close to his bottom-out weight. Another week of no-eating and he will be back there. We have a doc appointment on Mon the 29th to see about another angle and get an opinion. Next week on Monday I have ZERO clients so as soon as Patrick gets in the van (they are transporting him via van versus bus these last 2 years), I am going to get that damn tax return done. Then on Wednesday, I have my first meeting of the first round of questions for a potential group home. Damn those words again “group home.” (sniffles, single tear rolls down my cheek, fade to black).

  7. As Five said, I’ve been saying WOW a lot!
Another electric episode….and now we wait.

  8. not really a spoiler – Android saying, “it’s snug.” is brilliant.
so many “I loved it moments.” NEED MORE!

  9. Another great episode! Since the first one aired this season I feel like I’ve been on a roller coaster hanging on for dear life! Good stuff!

And Hewlett! He’s such a kick, and I love what he did with the character. And thankfully, you didn’t KILL him off, like someone else who possibly didn’t fair too well tonight. Hope Tabor comes back this season. But I noticed, since I taped the episode & yes I mean VHS tape, and have already watched it twice, that I think Hewlett’s name was spelled wrong (Hewlitt?) in the opening credits?

Dark Matter was a fantastic start to my weekend, followed by football Saturday and my beloved RAMS!!

@PBMom: I’m so sorry to hear that Patrick is struggling. My thoughts and best wishes are with you and Patrick with hope that his health improves.

  10. Oh my, “It’s snug” and the glance down… hilarious! I agree, another fabulous episode and chock full of funny lines and actions. Little scientist… snicker…
David Hewlett channeled Rodney McKay at certain points of lightening fast dialog, loved every minute of it.

Still missing One and Android’s touching remembrance was amazing. Will Marc return in some form? Will you ever tell us Joe?

Off to get groceries before the temp rises to a real feel of 110F!

Thanks so much everyone on the Dark Matter production. Every single ep is utterly fabulous and the workmanship, effort and quality shows through. Bravo!

  11. Exactly what Sylvia said, Very funny line! Plus, the look she gave him was awesome!!!

Great show but when is One coming back? 😉

  12. That tvbythenumbers link just further reinforces that the overall audience of quite a lot of cable shows is split in half. With half watching live, and the other half via DVR. It’s not unusual for some shows to double their live audience and then some with Live+7 viewing.

But I personally think the Live+7 numbers answer a simple question. Are people watching Dark Matter and Killjoys? Yes they are, and in respectable numbers, just not live.

That said, live ratings have been declining yearly. Compare the 14-15 season broadcast shows to the 15-16 ones. Scary stuff for some. People are still watching these shows, but are choosing to via a wide variety of methods out there. It’s just up to networks to make things work.

  13. Oh guys, this doesn´t look good, check Dark Matter: Season Two Ratings, it is really low, lower than SGU ever was, we must do something!

  14. @James334

The networks scripted average has dropped dramatically since the Stargate era ended. 0.1-0.3 is the new normal and a renewable figure for its line up. You’re worrying over nothing.

  15. Zero interest in Nyx, I think the ludicrously short seasons forced you to jump the shark way too soon. I blame #syfy they ruined other series with 13 episode runs… #Deathto100episodehallmark

  16. Trying to catch up on my daily responses ( trying to post on each entry for the year ). Tried to post while in Asheville but the Internet was inconsistent. I agree that the outfits are a tribute to Spider-Man. Was that intentional? Was only able to catch snippets of the show – my Aunt didn’t cooperate with me and go to bed early like she usually does and we played cards until midnight. I downloaded the show from iTunes and watched the next day.
