While laying low on the Raza, a computer glitch causes the crew to turn against each other.

Oooh.  Sounds ominous.

I’m not going to say much about this episode because I don’t want to spoil the surprises in store, but suffice it to say it’s one of my favorite episodes of the show’s second season.

The story’s unique premise allows two different groups to shine in totally different ways: the old guard vs the new order.

  1. My heart skipped 2 beats when I was checking episodes on my Comcast. It showed 2 new episodes…wheeeee, I thought, maybe…just maybe….????
BUT alas NO…it would only allow me to set it up for recording, which I had already done for the series. BIG SIGH!

    For Dragon Con: http://dragoncon.org/?q=featured_list
    Images and writeups for:
    Roger Cross,
    Jodelle Ferland
    Anthony Lemke
    Joie Palmer
There is a write up for Melissa O’Neil…but she is not depicted on the “featured page.”
And, missing Alex Mallari, jr and Marc Bendavid.

    Now…it is Friday yet?

  2. Wow you’re posting early! Too cool. loving Season 2 Joe!! Gonna rewatch the first two, ’cause I’m sure I missed a few things. God knows I got 3 more weeks of recovery with this hand. Did I miss the Q&A with Zobot?

  3. Thanks for more pics & links! I’m struggling to get through all the articles! Several key thoughts appear: Can’t believe “so & so” is dead and that Five was the one to give the order to “Kill Them All” plus the bad-assery of the Android & the addition of 3 new characters on The Raza in particular Nyx.

My thoughts (should anyone care): I now realize how much I appreciate Quentin Tarentino and dialogue. He is the king of conversations and one-sided rants. How does this relate you ask? Well…I want to see the conversations between Two, Three & Four where Two reveals that Six was the mole. It was kind of a big deal on Ep 13 last season. Lots of fingers and guns being pointed at each other. Plus they wake up in PRISON! I want to see the conversations between the crew members when they discover One is “dead”. I want to see the emotion. You could argue that there was emotion in the reveal at the end of Ep 15 (and there may yet be more to come as the Ep to follow has not yet aired) but I want more. I know there has to be action, intrigue, mayhem and chaos to propel the show forward but I want those little beats of interactions that developed the bonds on Season 1. I’m hoping we get to see those in the episodes to come. That being said, I’m enjoying what Season 2 has offered so far. I’m eager to see how the new Raza members fit in & the dynamics as the old & new members mesh. What will be the repercussions from the prison break and their previous mercenary ways? Who is this Reynaud chick? She’s definitely one smooth talker. With the previews for Ep 16 out there, this episode looks to be one wild ride. Is it Friday yet?

  4. Really enjoying reading all these reviews and comments, Joe. Thanks for putting them up but I have to confess that everytime I come across One’s fate my heart sinks.
Ep15 was epic but it’s missing a capital E & exclamation cos the Raza is minus One 😶

  5. ‘computer glitch causes the crew to turn against each other’
And is this same computer glitch the reason Android couldn’t link to the ship? Is this the ‘real’ Raza?

‘And, as is always the case in Dark Matter, events in this episode will influence future storylines, so pay close attention’
It’s the subtle hints that are easily missed, (a word, a gesture, a glance, body language) even after a rewatch…….’the clues are there’!

‘The story’s unique premise allows two different groups to shine in totally different ways: the old guard vs the new order’
This is definitely intriguing and more so because of your choice of the word ‘unique’ 🤔

  6. I usually like spoilers but I’m not watching those trailers.

Five’s line was such a surprise and it was great! Although, I do wonder what happened in her unremembered past that could create such callousness? If I woke up without my memory, I’m sure I would change (personality wise) going forward but I would still have the same core values. Such as, I would always love animals and chocolate.

  7. I love Dark Matter as much as the next person, but oh god.. what’s happening in France.. Horrible. If you can’t turn to a news channel look at “Bastille Day” on Twitter. So sad..

  8. Great sneak peek. Something tells me something might have been done to them while they were knocked out. Just sayin’ (probably obviously).

My heart weeps for France. It’s done a lot of weeping these past two weeks with the events in Baton Rouge, and Minnesota, and Dallas.

  9. @Peter I don’t think they are turning on each other; just on Five. Two, Three and Four seem to be working together. Five was a stowaway; they didn’t know she was there, so in their minds she is an intruder.
