Today’s Dark Matter season 2 sneak peek screen shot of the day!
The writers’ room was back at it today. Some of the highlight quotes of the day to give you a taste of our creative process:
“It’s very very very rare for time travel stories to make sense.”
“Snakes on a ship!”
“We have no tag.”
Further insight into our creative process, this time in photos capturing my response to some of the ideas thrown my way…
Dubious.
Go on, I’m listening…
Tomorrow, another big Dark Matter fan Q&A announcement!
Continuing our trip down Stargate memory lane with some gorgeous art department material from one of my favorite SG-1 episodes: Nightwalkers!
Spooky barn.
Partially built ship (drawn by James Robbins).
Ship build (sketched by James Robbins).
I was just going through my Steveston pictures from “Nightwalkers” film location. Memories! 🙂
I always love to see James Robins’ work! And that sneak peak screen shot looks amazing! Looking forward to zooming over the lunar landscape in that shot.
OMGosh – two weeks!!!
On a side note, so bummed that Orphan Black is doing a final season in 2017. I love that show.
You dubious face looks more like a ‘why are you here and when are you leaving’ face. And your ‘go on I’m listening’ face looks more like you’re trying to get a piece of lettuce out from between your teeth.
I think you need to work on your ‘looks’ as I’m not quite convinced of their intent. (I betcha right now you’re giving me a look…it’s probably that ‘why are you here and when are you leaving’ look… 😛 )
🙂
das
YOUR…your dubious face. Why do I only see these things after I hit the submit button. 😛
das
i don’t’ know if anyone pointed it out, but the june 15 entry is dated the 16th.
Fab screen shot!
Your dubious and I’m listening expressions…….both have positive outcomes? 🤔
Your dubious face is like my common expression at work!
FIVE looks altogether too happy holding that gun. 🙂
Also, it IS very rare for time travel stories to make sense. They’re usually filled with logical holes unless really, really well thought out.
Time travel? Yes, please.
🤓
Snakes? Space snakes? Um, right.
Katy C: Yay on son graduating! Is he going off to college?
Time is flying by. I can’t believe DM2 will premiere in 2 weeks! Time to review S1 on Netflix (yay for you Gforce!).
Ponytail: I know how you love those casseroles and I saw this on the net. Looks easy & good. I wonder if your parents might like it. http://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/peach-dumplings/?printable_recipe=86013
@Tam: yep! He’ll be attending a small college in Pennsylvania. Monday we have summer orientation already. Yikes.
Forgot to mention earlier; that gun is bigger than Five!!
Hi everyone:
Apologies for delayed reply.
Long physically & emotionally exhausting week here in Central Fl.
One of the members of the band I will be working with
in the studio this summer
lost a friend in Sunday mornings tragedy
so we all did our best to show our support.
I volunteered to help get information out to families
then worked with a resource center
while Jim helped out with the fundraiser for victims.
Albeit thankfully things are starting to settle down now
and am doing my best to get back to daily routines and catch up
on what I missed here this week.
“Go on, I’m listening”
Hmmmm? Were you reaaaally listening??
Or -> simply wondering if that eclair place in Toronto
might possibly have a ‘quantum teleporter”
to express ship some of their delicious goodies to the room?
Love today’s screen shot. Is that the view from H8?
@Palooza Hugs. So sorry for your loss.
Remember we are always here if you need a listening ear.
@Maggiemayday How’s the art show coming?
Would love to see some photo’s if you have any
And how’s the recovery coming along?
Sending hugs n much love your way always! xo
@Kathy C Congrats on your sons graduation!
@Tam Destin sounds like a fun trip.
Have never been there
but the photos I’ve seen look awfully nice.
Are you going to do the scenic gulf highway drive
to your destination?
Feeling any better? and any updates on Jo this week?
Das… “YOUR…your dubious face. Why do I only see these things after I hit the submit button.”
Why do I only see these things after you mention it? 🙂
Joe you are a handsome man, no matter what faces you are making.
Thanks Tam! I will try this recipe out. I like easy and my mom and dad love peaches. I’ll let you know what they think.
@“It’s very very very rare for time travel stories to make sense.”
On Star Trek Deep Space Nine, the episode “The Sound of Her Voice” was quite a well written “Time travel” episode. I mean, the crew of the Defiant receive a distress call from a Captain stranded on a Class L world. She doesn’t have much time to live, but the crew become invested in saving her and take turns talking to her to keep her alert. Long story short, they discover that the planet she’s on was surrounded by an energy field that has caused their communications to travel through time, and that the woman was actually dead for quite a while. It was quite a somber episode at the end.(Especially when you consider that they became emotionally attached to her, and retrieve her body to give her a proper burial ).
Thanks @Drea! In full party prep mode…my feet hurt!
Bubba looks awfully big in Five’s arms! Great pic!
Dubious? Go on, I’m listening? I’d love to see your “I’m hungry, let’s break for lunch” face.
Time travel rarely makes sense but is fun to watch – I believe that one must exercise “the suspension of disbelief” technique and sit back and enjoy the ride! Snakes in space can never be a good thing but if you get Samual L Jackson on a ship……
