Less than a month to go before the Dark Matter season 2 premiere – yet only a little over a week to go before the writers’ room convenes to start spinning the show’s third season.  Optimistic much?  Well, yes, and you would be too if you saw what was in store for you in the show’s second season.   It’s pretty glorious and the screen shots don’t do it justice but Here’s a little something VFX Supervisor Lawren Bancroft-Wilson and his gang are presently working on…

Speaking of favorites – hey, did I mention we’d be seeing Mike Dopud in season 2? Here’s a shot of him having a little sit-down with The Raza’s resident rogue, played by the cast’s resident rogue, Anthony Lemke… June 3, 2016: Dark Matter Goodies! Stargate Eye Candy! Signed Scripts!

In celebration of the new season, I (in conjunction with SyfyInternational) will be offering fans a chance to win scripts.

Not just scripts, but signed scripts (signed by the entire cast!).

NOT just signed scripts but annotated signed scripts chock full o’ notes from yours truly offering up insights and behind-the-scenes tidbits on the episode from script to finished product.

I’ve been all over reddit, imgur, tumblr, twitter, instagram, youtube, and facebook getting the word out about our season premiere – and also dropping some eye candy from another little franchise I worked on a while back…

  1. I have to admit that I’m very excited about those signed scripts. Just tell me how to enter and I’m there. I never win, but, hey, never say die, right?

After being gone so long from your house and the neighborhood, does anything stand out as something that has changed in the past few months?

  2. Those are some pretty spaceship. When the future happens, I hope we remember how important lighting is for our space battles.

  3. I don’t know where to start! Is that the Raza firing on an Ishida cruiser? Is that Three & Mike Dopud on the Raza in the dining area “having a discussion”? Is that Three & Five having some kind of “moment”, maybe a reconciliation? Are you kidding me? Signed scripts!!! Sign me up!! #TeamDarkMatter

Love the throwback pics from Atlantis. The Wraith, The Last Man & a ZedPM! Great way to start the weekend. Just watched The Prodigal again. Finally Micheal is dead!!

  4. Looking forward to seeing how the scene between Anthony Lemke and Mike Dopud plays out!

    Wow, Joe….just, wow……this is so……
…….rewind back to a few months ago and chatting about fantastic fan giveaways. I know you’ll remember me telling you, that from my own personal perspective, that the best thing as a giveaway, is a script. The addition of your personal annotations, about scenes, props, bts and so much more, also on top of all that, having it signed by the cast, is just awesome, to say the least! I treasure mine, because it is unique.
So, seeing your blog entry about script giveaways is absolutely fabulous. I cannot emphasise enough, the buzz you get, as a fan receiving that script! #TeamDM
The icing on the cake…….when the package arrives and the envelope is personalised with Akemi’s awesome doodles – priceless! 😊

  5. The artwork is fantastic! Yes, I’m confident of a S3 too.

Drea: Forgot to add that my son loves his new internship. He’s now making plans for his first pay check. 😉
Jo goes back to Texas today. I didn’t get to see her because I have a cold. Can’t take any chances of her catching this funk! The surgery is set for June 10th. PBMom says where Dr Jo is staying is being hit hard with the floods. Terrible! 🙁 Thanks for the prayers! She is going to need them.

    stitchsloft: 😆

  6. @stitchsloft LOL 😀 Willie Garson was such a trip as Marty! Even better than than his White Collar character.

@Jon H That ship you designed keeps looking better and better with each pass towards a finished product from Lawrens team. Cant wait to see it in action in the episode!

@Tam sorry to hear you caught hubby’s cold. Hope it subsides quickly. xo

Been super busy here with work projects, continuing interviews for the biography book and trying to get songs ready for the first studio session with my friends. Once again, like last year, living on little sleep – but loving every minute of it!

  7. @stitchsloft, nice clip! must have missed the don’t underestimate your viewers line. Was that snatched from some sort production meeting?

  8. I can’t wait to enter this contest (even though there’s no info on how) I can’t wait I love the show and I’d love to win the scripts 🙂

  9. @ stitchsloft, thanks for the SGTrek clip, that is going to my sis who is the world’s biggest SG1 fan.

I love those chairs that Mike and Anthony are chilling in, very Ikea meets Isamu Noguchi.
