Thanks to those inquiring about my french bulldog, Lulu. Alas, nothing in the way of any significant improvement yet although I would best describe the change in her condition as a slight upgrade from “yellow mustard” to “Japanese curry”. I’m hopeful for an eventual advancement to “Irish stew” but, for now, we’re treating her with antibiotics, deworming medication (thanks for the tip, Elke!), and tomorrow’s endoscopy.
Hey, did I mentioned I’d be doing one of those Periscope Q&A’s after the North American airings of Dark Matter’s seventh episode? The episode will air at 10 p.m. EST and 7 p.m./10 p.m. PST and I’ll be answering YOUR questions for about 15-20 minutes after the show ends (11 p.m. EST and 8 p.m./11 p.m. PST). So, what do you need to do to join? Great question! I think you just have to download the Periscope app and follow me (@BaronDestructo), then check out the Periscope app at the appointed time and voila! Before you know it, you’ll be madly sending me virtual hearts and watching me fumble through this, my SECOND and THIRD, Periscope Q&A’s.
And what will I be talking about? Oh, whatever you like – but I imagine we’ll mainly be chatting about this episode…
“We’ve seen the episode a little earlier than most, courtesy of Syfy, and have a handful of teasers to share with you. As usual, there are no major spoilers here because we want you to enjoy the episode as much as we did.”

“This episode marks one of Mallozzi’s personal favourites of the season and that’s because it’s “one of the most fun episodes.” He also said “it’s an episode with a lot of warmth and a lot of humour.” Not only that, it’s also the favourite of one of his most important critics. “This is one of my girlfriend’s very favourite,” he shared.”

“At the midway point Dark Matter is still as fierce as it was in the premiere. […] Speaking of surprises, this episode is full of them.”
Hey, look who was in town! None other than Jeff Teravainen, Lieutenant Anders from Dark Matter Episode 108. Oh, wait. That doesn’t air until next week. Anyway, here’s a sneak peek of Jeff…eating gelato. Will he be eating gelato in next week’s episode? And, if so, what flavour?!!! Sorry, that’s a spoiler.
Wow, Joe! So sorry that your dog kiddies all seem to be getting ill one after the other. Hang in there. I am sure that Lulu will get better soon. She seems to have a very strong constitution. All the best.
I have missed so much, was out of town, mom does not get syfy, so am catching up on tapes, hope my old vcr taped the shows,… Sorry to hear Lulu is under the weather, wish it was something as simple as missing Ivon. Do hope to hear she is better soon, hugs for her, poor baby.
Sorry to hear about the running episode with Lulu. I know dogs when feeling upset will eat grass. Hopefully if she was eating grass it was not the wrong kind. Any major lawn treatment happening in the neighborhood? Had she been licking her paws much after a walk?
The Periscope app. sounds a bit naughty.
I see that “Saving Hope” has finished after three seasons. Could that mean a potential Michael Shanks guest spot on DM?
I’m sorry, but opening with mustard and Japanese curry, then closing with gelato… I had an ugly little nightmare. Eek. I guess reading your blog before bedtime is worse than reading it first thing in the morning before breakfast.
Prayers that they find answers for Lulu! The vets I worked for always used to say “Look for horses, not zebras.” Horses are the simple diagnosis and zebras are the complex. Here’s hoping for horses!!!!!
JeffW: No worries if you miss Abe, Jeff. Just have a good time! Abe’s been posting tons of pictures from the air show, so I know he’s having a blast.
Praying that the vet can get to the root of Lulu’s issues. Praying she is feeling better!
Oh and one other tip for the next Periscope sessions:
Landscape, not Portrait.
That is all. 🙂
-Mike A.
Hope Lulu’s endoscopy goes well. I fed my last dog a variety of the same brand of dog food. All the different flavors. She seemed okay but would throw up regularly. I finally figured out it was me who was upsetting her stomach. Once I stayed with just one flavor of her dog food, and fed her the same thing every day, she stopped throwing up. When did this start with Lulu? Maybe she does miss Jelly terribly. You could always test that theory and get her a little puppy that will keep her occupied. 🙂
Sorry to read about Lulu being under the weather and hopefully the Vets/Tests are able to find the reason and treat quickly.
Back home I see you had nightly entertainment. I hope it’s nothing and Lulu gets well soon. Endoscopy! and I do not like the word.
@ Skua – Yeah, any word with “scopy” in it cannot be good. 😉
If you are giving her antibiotics make sure she is getting probiotics as well. I have a good brand if you are interested.
Creativity and insanity are often considered to be very close…congratulations – you are a genius and crazy! Yeh!
I really hope that your boxer is going to be better – lots of white light to him..
