Comin’ at ya in five (WITH FIVE!)!
Space Channel here in Canada is counting down toward the Friday premiere in delightful fashion. Each day ticks off with a different Dark Matter, appropriately enough…
Who’s next? Can’t wait to find out tomorrow!
SyFy UK and SyFy Australia, meanwhile, have launched this terrific campaign that asks…
Zoie Palmer (Dark Matter’s Android) talks about Lost Girl, her new movie Patch Town, and Dark Matter with ET Canada:

Lari Burkhart offers up her list of What To Watch In June: Among her picks…
“What do you get when you have 6 amnesiacs and a spaceship? A SyFy original series, obviously. Throw in an android and the writers from Stargate and you’ve also got me sitting on the couch anxiously awaiting this premiere!”

Dark Matter makes Rick’s Picks at tvweeklynow.com:
We make The Columbus Dispatch’s “10 shows we’d watch this week”:
Chris Lackner of the Winnipeg Free Press profiles Dark Matter as Big Event Friday viewing:
“The small screen is due for a new sci-fi saviour, and this could be it.”
Oh yeah!
The ship’s underbelly! Probably my favorite standing set.
Two floors of fun!
Note the floor design and texturing. It’s the little touches…
Looking up at the second level. Check out the ceiling designs. Never underestimate the importance of floors and ceilings!
Watch your step!
Readying for Day #1!
Shooting in the underbelly, episode #101.
Finally – missed this the first time around. Here’s a Stargate reference from Archer:
And, speaking of Stargates, check out this almost fully functional 3D printed stargate.
No, it can’t send you to other planets. Yet!
*** Oh, and one more thing! Tomorrow, at 12 PST, 3 EST, I’ll be chatting with Simon Applebaum on Tomorrow Will Be Televised (BlogTalk Radio).
“Simon Applebaum
Good Saturday morning, Dark Matter followers! Catch co-creator/executive producer Joseph Mallozzi LIVE Monday on Tomorrow Will Be Televised, the program all about TV. Tune in and spread the word!
SQUEEEEEEE! yeah.. I am not afraid to fangirl so over the place for this show. And also a 3D working Stargate. I’ll take three.
*all I typed “all over the place” and auto incorrect struck again
Cool post! Looking forward to Dark Matter
Dang it, I can’t wait for this show. It looks amazing.
Of course that stargate doesn’t work yet. There needs to be one on the other end!
I wish SyFy US would do a little more to promote the show
The stargate needs a kawoosh. Pretty cool though.
So I guess I am just going to have to sign up to foxtel play in the next 5 days, to get syfy Australia … Unless there is a Netflix deal you have not told us about?
The pix these last few days have been exciting. This show is going to be so much fun.
Does anyone know how I can watch it in the US if I don’t have cable? (I got mine disconnected when SGA was over, and can’t afford it now.) If you want to contact me privately, I’m at rissxun*at*yahoo.*com* without the stars.
I get The Week….in it’s “guide to what’s worth watching”, it mentions Dark Matter….I checked their website, but could not find a link for this part of the magazine….they just give a general description, no review…
Dy-no-mite pictures tonight, thanks for sharing. Looks so much larger than I imagined, what a terrific crew to make all this magic happen….soon…
“Tomorrow, at 12 EST, 3 PST”
“Monday at 3 p.m. Eastern time, noon Pacific”
This needs to be corrected.
You’re right!
This has to be a trick. There can’t be a set this cool and characters this dichotomous. I can’t even.
Lol, Archer. I remember that quote too. One of the funniest cartoons I’ve seen, aside from Futurama. Can’t imagine how much time and effort must’ve gone into designing all of those sets…
Yeah SyFy Australia do a great job.
Joe, you don’t by any chance have the dimensions of Raza at hand?
I’m working on another infographic. Did you get the completed one of The Android? Was probably sent at a bad time for you. Sorry.
Byeeeeeee Chev / webgurl
“Shooting in the underbelly” … excellent for a space ship show, terrible after an evening at a buffet.
Hey there… more questions…. sorry. Trust me, you’ll all love what I’m working on.
I’m sure that somewhere I’ve seen an image of the completed Bridge of Raza but I can’t find it. Not the one with production staff, but with the actors. Am I imagining this? Can anyone point me in the direction please?
How many levels on Raza – there are two levels in the underbelly…. and the level the bridge is on… any others?
How many stasis pods are there? Just the 7?
Thanks so much for all of the Dark Matter photos you’ve shared of the past 7 months. They’ve been so helpful. Thanks for always being so kind with the photos in Stargate etc as well. They are a dream for fans.
Cheers, Chev / webgurl
Curious, it could be me, but in the still shot of FIVE is the point of focus on the gun? Being of the decrypted age above 30 my eyes can deceive me.
Love the SyFy Promotional pictures. They is filling me with some school boy giddiness. I didn’t expect the set to be so large. The textures are great.
He’ll take your phone calls and chatroom reaction Good luck with that! I hope it goes smoothly.
Hubby signed us up to teach a karate class in the evening for this week. Dark Matter will be a nice treat at the end. Wish us luck too! I’ve herded cats before, kids aren’t that much different, right?
We are “locked and loaded and GO for launch” at our house! Tick tock tick tock
Just spent a sleepless weekend watching Sense8, and next weekend looks like it will be lost to DM and OINTB. What’s good in the that huge to-read pile so far? Last thing I read was Harlan Coben, I could use some recommendations for new sci fi/fantasy/suspense.
Reblogged this on Pbmom's Blog and commented:
5 FRAKKING DAYS!!!
@TamDixon Pretty cool!
My inner fan girl is screaming on the inside about this. I can hardly contain myself–seriously.
I totally forgot to pounce on that little Stargate! I love it! Where is it from? I want one. WAAAAAAAAAAY COOOOOOOOOOOL! I could still cry over the loss of my all time favorite show…ever!! Am I silly? 😛
