Looks like I’ll be busy ’til about August (barring any of the pitches I am currently out with getting picked up or my landing on that other production I have thrown my hat in the ring for), so the timing I think will work out for wrapping up our crew search. I needn’t remind you that, to date, fans have voted on our ship (the Enterprise-D was the eventual winner and, really, who can argue with that comfy ride), and its crew. To date –
We have a Captain, First Officer, Science Officer, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Engineer, Ace Pilot, Negotiator, AI, Security Chief, Away Team Leader, Helmsman, Enforcer, Techie, and a Resident Alien. And are currently searching for our Unlikely Ally which will put the entire gang at 15. I think that, next, I’d like to nail down a shuttle after which we will move on to our final five crew members. I’m thinking maybe a Loose Cannon/Lovable Rogue, a Prodigy/Wunderkind, and either a Comic Relief and/or 2-3 wildcard members to be recommended and voted upon by the fans. The latter would be characters who may hav missed out in previous rounds and would worthy additions to our intrepid ensemble.
So once our 20-person crew is established, what’s next you may ask. Well, if I have the time, I’m thinking we may embark on a few adventures if you’re interested.
What do you think?
Thanks for the input on the new look blog. I really do like the simplicity of the new design and will look to make some adjustments (including incorporating some sort of dog-themed banner and hopefully introducing a dark mode for those – like me – with sensitive eyes).
Speaking of dogs, Sharky attended his very first physiology session the other day. Akemi has been noticing some weakness in his back legs (he’s tending to slide) so she wants to firm up those muscles. He did surprisingly well (videos in tomorrow’s entry) and seemed to enjoy the attention of the all-women physiotherapists and technicians who doted over him for about an hour.
So, how are your weekends looking?
