Sharky’s treats are making me hungry! They look so good have you ever tried some?
I have not but Akemi has eaten his freeze dried fruit and veggies.
I love seeing Sharky so happy!
The most common causes for itching in dogs (besides fleas) can be food allergies (anything new in the way of foods or treats?) or dry skin (over bathing – indoor dogs rarely need baths and generally not more than once a month unless prescribed by a vet). Have you tried oatmeal shampoo or conditioner? It is very soothing. Is his skin darkened? It could be a chronic staph or other systemic issue. Bring out your sleuthing skills and experiment with food elimination as a first step. What is his newest or favorite food? That’s a good place to start If you want to take a shortcut, the vet can do allergy testing via a simple blood test, although I doubt that their standard panel includes testing for allergies to frogs legs. They also have medicine specifically for itching. Good luck!
Thanks, Colleen. Yes, we’re starting with food elimination. First up: poutry and rabbit.
