Another deleted scene I uploaded during the tweestorm that you may have missed is this one from Stargate: Atlantis “Reunion”, a nice episode-ender featuring new Atlantis commander Samantha Carter and John Sheppard, that was, sadly, lost for time.  Blue screen here as our heroes would have looked out on the waters surrounding the city through the magic of visual effects.

As I stated in an October, 2007 blog entry: “This scene was intended to develop the friendship/working relationship between these two characters and close out the episode, but we were long and I thought it would be preferable to end with the Ronon-Teyla scene since it was Ronon’s episode.”

Okay, in preparation for 2020, I am shifting creative priorities, crafting strategic alliances, and adopting a more ruthless game plan.  Should be fun!

  1. Joe,
That last paragraph caused a flashback to our first meeting: Gatecon 2002(?), when you wore Baal’s black costume.
    shiver

  2. I certainly do wish you all the luck in the world with the crafting and ruthless stuff in the new year!!

  3. I think something similar was on my DVD set. I’ll have to go look (or maybe it was a different episode). The 2020 plan sounds intriguing.

  4. Watching the local news, KMSP 9 Fox, today at 5:30PM. They mention in tribute to RDA via Amanda Tapping by paraphrasing the line, “they had to MacGyver it.” It was in reference to the new Christmas tree. The maintenance people had to make adjustments the tree stand to make it fit the tree. I thought of Amanda Tapping’s line and the history RDA had and being a MN boy though his first reference on the show was that he was from Chicago only later did he reference fishing.

  5. Too bad you couldn’t include that scene. There is so much the viewers miss because of time limits. That’s why I like the extras on Blu-ray.

Is everyone getting ready for Christmas? It’s been a little crazy here but I’m getting there.

  6. Was just wondering if Y’All had ever entertained the idea that a g’auld would have found its way to Pegasus, inhabited a Wraith and,,,taken over the galaxy? Wraith would seem a useful donkey for an ambitious G’auld…

    1. I never did (can’t speak for my fellow writers), but I know plenty of fans have.

  7. Oooo! Strategic alliances and a ruthless game plan, sounds challenging, being ruthless with your allies? :o) How about a friendly game plan with all your strategic allies? You know where to find me when ready to open the gate.
