  1. I am sooooo far behind on comics. I don’t think I’ve read a new one in over a year, just too much going on…and toooo much British tv to enjoy! That said, I like Aquaman the best…very eye-catching without being grotesque.

Tammy Dixon – You enjoy my POV? LOL…I recently went back and read some of my comments here on the blog from ten years ago or so, and I am sooooo embarrassed by my…hyperness. Lordy, the exclamation points alone! Like that one! Ack!! I’m doing it again! 😛

The thing is when I’m typing, in my mind, it doesn’t sound so…hyper. Manic. Insane. But when I go back a decade and read my comments…oh my goodness! How embarrassing! It reads like I’m on speed! There’s those exclamation points again! I can’t seem to escape them… 😛

(I know that should be ‘there ARE those exclamation points’, but ‘there’s’ is acceptable in informal writing…it’s something that the grammar nazi in me had to check…)

(I know that should be ‘exclamation marks’, but ‘exclamation points’ is an acceptable alternative.)

(Is ‘speed’ still a thing? Does it have a new, 21st century name? Does saying ‘speed’ make me sound like a square…or a hippie? Lay it on me…I can take it.)

I have no idea where I’m going with all of that…

    I use ellipsis…ellipsises?…ellipsisisisis?…ellipsis’…? Whatever! Those dot things. I use them…too much. 😛

  2. -Aquaman because of the great lighting.
-Joe Golem because it’s weird and has a nice pulp novel vibe.
-Justice League by Jorge Jimenez, because it’s got that simple fun and iconic idea, delivering a strong message.
-SW Tie Fighter, for the energy.

  3. Gotta vote for Hot Pink Spidey, so Miami Vice 80s. Aquaman looks very, wow, that is some high gloss Pantene hair. A far cry from the helmet headed cartoon which we watched religiously. I’m still singing the praises of Detective Pikachu, anything to ameliorate the ashy bitterness of GoT.

  4. These are so good! My favorites are Aqua man and Justice League. It was hard to choose.

Das: I’m sure most of us would be embarrassed by past comments. Hopefully, we all learn to be kinder as the years pass. Gaining wisdom “should be” one big perk of getting older.
So, ellipse and exclaim with abandonment! 😉 I am the last person qualified to judge your writing style but I will enjoy it.
Your writing style comes across, to me, like a conversation. A conversation with a witty, intelligent and kind person. No BS, just the truth…. 🙂

  5. Did you see Altered Carbon (Netflix series) yet, Mr. M.? I didn’t read the books, so I don’t know if they butchered it but I liked what Netflix did. The whole premise of switching bodies was very interesting. .

  6. You’ve presented a brilliant selection here! Stunning artwork, difficult to choose besties
I do agree with the others here, Aquaman is magical.
I really like Joe Golem too although I’m not sure why!
And I love the simple visual of Justice League – it’s quite powerful.
However Robyn Hood and Teen Titans get a minus from me – you do NOT strangle your bow like that! It may be a powerful image but it doesn’t give you accurate shots! The arrow angles in Teen Titans is correct, correct when you load your arrows the wrong way. Dah! They’ll never hit anything… Why don’t peeps do research with these things! Sorry but I get fed up with such simple mistakes such as these (don’t even mention Hawkeye!!!🙄)
