A copy of the script for Stargate: Extinction, the Stargate: Atlantis movie.  I gave it a quick re-read and it’s pretty epic.

  1. Will we (fans) ever get the chance to read the script? I’m guessing the answer is no for various reasons, but it doesn’t hurt to ask.

  2. Some real blasts from the past there, but my favourite of course has to be seeing Jelly and Bubba again enjoying their ice cream. I miss them both a lot!

  3. As Keith H. said, will we ever be able to read this script? =)

  4. Just wondering if STARGATE: EXTINCTION could be done in a graphic novel format. I see SGA and SGU comics all the time, it would be great to make an event comic out of this story.

At one point, I was in talks with a comic book company about doing just that, but MGM elected to go in another direction.

  5. Such sweet memories. Thanks so much for sharing.
Gosh. I miss Jelly and Bubba.

Hey Joe?. Kinda curious, somewhat out of the blue, question:
Are you still working on creating your own comic? Or have you set that project aside for the moment? Also, I cannot seem to recall if you ever shared any basic details on it?
    General theme/concept/timeline/location and such??

Nope, that’s still in the works. It’s a ship-based space opera along the lines of Dark Matter. I’m delivering my plans for a five issue opening arc in May once the dust has settled on scripts for this show.

  6. oh wait? I see your response to Bill Clay, here. That wasnt the comic you were most recently hoping to create, was it??

      Nope.

  7. Awe, Jelly, Bubba, and Lulu. Makes me think of Maximus… You’ve had a lot of dogs in your life. Stewie briefly… Have we seen Suji eating ice cream yet? can’t remember

      Not yet.

  8. My birthday was on the 17th. I just signed up for Reddit like 2 hours ago. But that bridge pic made my day! Thank you!

  9. Cool post !
The shuttle’s nice, Destiny’s blueprint as well.
The script is fun to read. I almost never read scripts, but every time I do I’m like “I should do that more often, it gives a totally different view of the piece”.

  10. I really, really hate computer/laptop thingys (I’ve killed two of mine so far…) but when items such as you share here are ‘found’ on them I reluctantly realise there is an OK reason to keep them around….
    for now

  11. Happy birthday Ben Prewitt! Hope it was a good one.

  12. Would love to read the whole script in its entire and original form.

  13. Awww. Jelly and Bubba. <3 A little bit of everything….some SGA, some Dark Matter and some dogs. PERFECT.
