  1. I liked, 3) Vortex, 2) Immortal Hulk, 1) Die.

  2. These are very “coverly” covers this week, like the painted Iron Man in a highball glass is like a cool old book…

  3. So many wonderful artists and covers this week.
    My top 2 picks:
    Asgardians.
    Die.

  4. These are all amazing, middle school me is heartbroken for Archie and Conan, who knew things had gotten so dark for them. Love the elegant pastel graphics on Die.

  5. Archie – seemed very timely and grabbed me.
    Old man Quill, and Vortex

  6. I love the harmonising darkness in ‘Vortex’ but, to be honest, I’m more with the feels of the ‘Tony Stark – IronMan’ cover right now…

(Pathetic I know but yesterday’s Dark Matter news hit me a bit harder than I care to admit to myself… But, Joe, so happy for your other projects 😁Honest!)

  7. This is just SLIGHTLY off-topic, but I recently read this article on TV-Eh:

    https://www.tv-eh.com/2019/01/31/cardinal-writer-noelle-carbone-reviews-roman-irena/

I was really fascinated by how Noelle Carbone and the other writers script a short episode serialised show like Cardinal and how writing “less is more” in some circumstances. Joe, you have reflected this in the past on your blog. It seems to indicate that some of the best shows on TV really shine when everyone is required to put their best into dense material like Cardinal and Dark Matter!

Agreed. Noelle and Patrick are terrific.

  8. Joe,
Not sure if you saw this or not:

Thought you might get a laugh out of it.

  9. Conan’s cover is really canon, typical Conan. Very nice one.
Tony Stark : Iron Man, love it. I love the miniaturization genre A LOT, anyway. This one’s very fun. Possibly a tribute to the opening credits of Inner Space? Also, possibly just an allegory of Tony Stark drowning in his own alcoholism. Great double. (Pun intended.)

BTW, the DIE cover has been made by Stephanie Hans, Jen Bartel did the variant one.

  10. Robotech because it has a character with purple hair. LOL.
