This upcoming season of Blindspot is going global – and Dark Matter’s Anthony Lemke is joining the trek.  Check out the BTS video for a sneak peek at international destinations, Blindspot creator and showrunner (and former Stargate Executive Producer and Dark Matter Consulting Producer) Martin Gero give us the rundown on season 3, and a brief glimpse of The Raza’s lovable rogue –

So THAT’S what he was doing in Marrakesh!

What kind of character will he play?  Good guy?  Bad Guy?  Will he have any scenes with Dark Matter’s other resident bad boy and Blindspot recurring player Ennis Esmer (aka Rich Dotcom)?

  1. I was not attached to Blindspot because the female stare was missing something. I will make an effort to watch this season.

  2. That’s great news. I guess I’ll have to revisit my decision not to watch that show (I’d mocked the concept as silly and absurd and never gave it a chance). Season 3? They must be doing something right.

  3. Did any of you guys watch last night’s new episode of The Orville? If you haven’t, you’re seriously missing out. (Episode 7 – “Majority Rule”)

This episode may have been the most serious and thought-provoking one yet. As a society, people judge books by their covers every day, from the way you dress, to the way you look, to what you do and even what you don’t do. But to go as far as having a legal system based solely on people’s first impressions… I mean, you saw the girl give the 2 anthropologists a down-vote just based on the way they looked, without even taking the time to consider their side of the story.

It’s so relevant to the way people act today, but imagine going further and having these votes be permanently associated with you for your whole life, and then actually leading to punishment or even death… kind of puts in perspective what happens to a society that’s overly-obsessed with social media, peer pressure and the lack of ability to think for themselves. Draws in the parallels of what we’re encountering on an everyday basis.

Take note everyone. THIS is the best of space-based science fiction. It’s what Star Trek used to be about. It stays relevant to today’s current society, while at the same time makes you use your brain and actually think things through. Imagine that.

I swear, if Orville doesn’t get renewed, there will be angry mobs, let me tell you.

  4. Awesome. Anthony is one of the things I’ll miss most about Dark Matter, so I’m looking forward to seeing him in Blindspot. 🙂

  5. Happy Blindspot day!

The highest rated show on Fridays at the moment at 8pm only has a 0.8 18-49 rating on broadcast television. I’d love to see the show be a timeslot winner on Monday when the ratings come out.

  6. Good for him! I haven’t watched Blindspot since the pilot for a bunch of reasons, most of which have nothing to do with the show. Will definitely tune in for Anthony.

On the one hand, it sucks that our beloved cast is split up and will go in several different directions with other projects. On the other hand, we get that many more opportunities to see them. So, yay?

  7. There’s no telling what kind of part Anthony Lemke will play. I just about choked on my tea, when Mr. Lemke played a priest on “Murdock Mysteries”. He cleans up nice!

  8. Okay, now this is a good reason to check out Blindspot. Do you think Gero could get Marc Bendavid too? 😆

  9. That’s fantastic about the role for Anthony. I need to catch up on this show. I’m behind, like everything else in my life right now.
