    What Dark Matter meant to me then was sitting down on a Monday evening with my dad and strengthening our relationship by watching a fantastic show that we both enjoy. We laugh at the android’s antics, cry with five saying good bye to another crew member and scream at the TV as 4 continues to try and betray his former crew mates. What Dark Matter means to me now is keeping those Monday evenings by starting back from season 1. It’s shocking to us how much we missed first time around so it’s like watching for the first time.

      My family and I like to watch Sci-fi shows together too. Dark Matter was family event. My son’s in college now but he watched online.

    From the original Star Trek on up to Dark Matter, ( which ran close to the same amount of time ) good TV sci-fi has always been about human potential and optimism in the face of seemingly insurmountable odds. For fans of the genre, it’s a positive form of escapism that can end up having real influence on the future – folks outside the bubble need only look at the gadget they are reading this note of farewell on, to know this as partly true. Folks inside the bubble keep traveling, light years beyond the notion of cancellation, waiting to hear what happens next…thx

    I just learned that the show had not been renewed for season 4 and I feel like my dog was hit by a car. What is the world is Syfy thinking?! Going on an email campaign but looks like it may be too late. What a terrible shame

    I am a real fan by day u work as a cook and at night I paint or work in my 2nd novel.when that is done all I want is a great show with great actors. I need a story to get lost in. That show has been Dark Matter. I have re watched it 5 or 6 times and other that sga I have not been this relaxed. I pray some how it will come back

    Did you get mine? The local tracker shows crazy things and Canadian Post supposedly stopped tracking ordinary registered letters two years ago.

    Haha nice! Is there any movement as yet for a conclusion to the story? Perhaps a book or comic? Its driving me crazy being left hanging, right at the very climax of the story!! 🙁 I do hope there will be a conclusion in some form for the fans.

    I know I am coming into the game late but I have such a deep sadness this show is gone. I watch it over and over literally every day when i have time. I wake up to it, I fall asleep to it. I dream about the episodes and feel like I have lost a friend. The word is either Fernweh which means an ache for distant places, the craving for travel or Saudade, a feeling of longing, melancholy or nostalgia. I wont compare to any other lost shows, this one was special. The character development, timing and how the plot played out perfectly, breaks my heart that its “gone”. I would LOVE to get my hands on some space cred. Or something like that. Mr. Mallozzi, I work at NORAD, I would trade you some “REAL Space coin” for some prop coin. Or something like that :). Thank you so much for doing at least 3 seasons. Absolutely love it.

        Omgosh, wow. SIR! Never in a million years would I think YOU would respond. I thought maybe an oppressive negative outlook fan… but not you! Im sure anything you could put together as a miniseries would be very accepted and in my opinion way overdue but I understand sometimes things are just out of our control or take routes we don’t at the time grasp, or like. Ive been there, every time I deploy to somewhere less than desirable but I always learn something. Yes, I work at NORAD here in Colorado Springs! I think Stargate SG1did an episode there a few years back. Speaking of unexpected paths, maybe this is the beginning of how the crew comes back, NORAD has a meltdown and the technology creates a pocket of interdimensional space time and brings the crew back 🙂 If you ever need anything, I’m here! I wont bore you with how big of a fan I am, but thank you for the hours and hours of escape and motivation when I needed them the most, that, I can never fully express the gratitude for.
