…starting with this terrific interview by longtime Stargate supporter and friend, Steve Eramo, who talks to Dark Matter Executive Producer and Prodigy Pictures President Jay Firestone about how he brought the series to air and his continued involvement in the show’s creative and production:

  1. Seriously, I CANNOT wait! I do not watch anything on TV regularly. This will be MY show.

The way the Android is dressed sort of makes me think she is like a prison warden watching six inmates. That would explain why she is so strong. She keeps them in line.

I love superman Jay Firestone for making this show happen!!

  2. I am SO glad that DailyMotion video is not Flash Player. I’m having a HORRIBLE time with Flash. May need to get Geek Squad to fix my computer for me. That was REALLY exciting.

Did you say (I can’t remember) if you are going to be at SDCC this year? I won’t be there, but I’m curious.

  3. Lol, “we’re about to enter orbit, I suggest you wear pants”. That’s hilarious. Now that’s the kind of humorous sci-fi I’ve been missing ever since Enterprise and SGU ended.

  4. Hi Joe! Thanks for answering my questions about Stargate. Regarding the Asgard home galaxy, yeah, I suspected so, but was a strange line in New Order season in the Weir’s conversation with Daniel and Carter. That’s the reason I’ve asked you about that. So, no supreme system lord after Ra’s demise… I can live with that. Regarding the last question about the Planet builders aliens, you’ve asked me in return which Ancients: past or present. Well, the Ancients in ascended form. In human form they were obviously at a lower level compared with those guys. Once, i’ve considered the posibility of these aliens being our characters in some sort of Interstellar “black hole multidimensional alien” thing. Just a thougt. About Dark Matter I don’t have any question yet. I wanna see the show’s premiere first. I’m looking forward to it. Oh, I almost forgot. Did they duplicate the Asgard database from Odissey to other locations or is still only onboard that ship? I mean the database, not the Asgard weapons. Thanks again, Joe!

  5. Please tell me that June 12th is not less that 2 weeks away. You’re sending me into a panic here! That said, I can’t wait until June 12th!!

I was talking with a friend at a wedding I went to today who is a sci fi fan (but not necessarily Stargate) and was telling him about Dark Matter. He had heard the title before but didn’t really know what it was about or when it was on. He’s agreed to try it out! I’m trying to get as many folks as I know to watch – two eyeballs at a time.

  6. Liked the interview of Jay. His enthusiasm is infectious. The Trailer was great. Even though I have the 4 comic issues this vid really gave me a lot to look forward to. While the actors are very easy on the eyes, the promo narrator did not mentions “and we have some love girl.” Can’t beat good talent and story.
