Hey, guess where we were today? That’s right! We were at a research facility operated by Dwarf Star Technologies.
And its confusing bathroom pictograms.
Tenting the facility (which we didn’t we’d be able to do until we actually did it).
Craaaaane shooot!
Check out the spectacular job our Art Department did marrying the faux entrance to the actually building itself.
Meanwhile, THIS was going on in the background. Reason to worry?
The awesome interiors.
Gakking up the thingiemabob.
Hot! Hot set!
Tomorrow brings another location day. A massacre! Exploratory surgery! And, hopefully, far less airplanes flying overhead interrupting production.
Firefighter hazmat training, or another production shooting on location?
What is a Hot Set? That thingiemabob looks like a huge trophy. You can award it to a cast or crew member when you are done with it.
Gakking up the thingiemabob.
i’m pretty sure that’s a doohickey. at the very least a whatchamacallit.
You guys lug those tracks everywhere? Ugh.
Hasn’t this happened before? Some strange Hazmat training going on in an industrial, available-to-rent neighborhood. That’s a lot of payroll going into that training.
I can not begin to imagine all the work involved with the production of a show, wow.. wow, I am really looking forward to the show in June, and think I have a new appreciation in watching after I catch the glimpses of what you share in all the fun stuff. Lots of hard work, understand the whiskey club, and thanks to craft services in keeping you all fed. The crew has to be amazing, getting all the things coordinated and props working, and writers, producers, directors, forgive me if I left anyone out, making it all seamless in the final product, Congrats on all the work done! Is it June yet?!?
Cool door!
Nice gizmo. Good to know hot glue guns are still viable in the future.
If you were in the US, those hazmat suited strangers could be part of the Jade Helm hysteria. Seen any secret underground tunnels lately?
Nice whichamajig. I grok grakking!
Hm, location shot in Toronto with airplanes overhead… the same day Wil Wheaton blogs about shooting on location in Toronto with lots of airplanes overhead…
Okay when will you be going back home?
On a “i have a dirty mind” note, yesterday I thought this was one thing and though Akemi was saying he’d be damaging/removing his man parts.
>>“Tell Ivon that too much riding bicycle will damage his cincin.”
– Akemi this afternoon after hearing about my friend Ivon’s affinity for spin class.
“No more poppylocky.”<<
I just saw the Dark Matter FB page’s share of Wil Wheaton’s photo.
All I can say is – Wow.
Would you happen to be on a flight path by any chance? I bet no one called the airport to tell them to fly somewhere else. Ha!
I know who that big casting news refers to. Will Wheaton is hinting around on Instagram. https://instagram.com/p/2T0Sepuqe_/
OMG! I just saw on Twitter that Wil Wheaton is working on this episode of Dark Matter! Excellent casting! I’m looking forward to this show more and more every day.
Nice effect with that doorway; I thought that was a real entrance and was marveling about the cool architecture. The bldg is way cool with all the angles.
@maggiemayday That’s funny.
I was thinking that they are part of the Blue Man Suits cousins, the Green Man Suits. Or is that Yellow Man Suits? They look yellow-green to my eyes.
Gakking up the thingiemabob — code word for “bomb.”
Just saw this location on Killjoys tonight, in an episode that guest starred one Amanda Tapping!
Small world, eh?
Just waiting to watch episode 8, now!
